Last year, the "Other" Tayto had some news we never thought possible: Banshee Bones would be available to buy once more.
The comeback of the much-loved Perri snacks was trialled for a limited time in 2020, this time under the Tayto Crisps brand in the ROI. Tayto Crisps, which operates as a separate company from Tayto Limited here, is owned by the same parent company as Perri.
The snack brand confirmed last year that consumer demand was high enough to bring Banshee Bones back for good.
A number of former Perri and Sam Spudz crisps have also been re-released under Tayto Crisps in recent years. Hot Lips, Burger Bites and Thai Rings are just some of the snacks the brand has revived.
But we'd be lying if we said there aren't more crisps by other British and Irish companies we wish we could go back in time to buy. It's not just the rose-tinted glasses of nostalgia talking, either - we have good reason to believe the prime time to be a crisp lover has already come and gone.
Remember how in past decades, a bag of crisps used to be just that: A bag of crisps? Not half-a-bag-of-crisps, half-a-bag-of-air.
And is it just us, or were the bags actually bigger in size, too? With more flavour coated on each crisp? The post-packet finger-lick just doesn't take as long as it once did.
We've also gone through years and years of inflation, so we're sadly paying far more for far less crisps. Take us back to the days where Tayto's High Fives were just called Fives, because they only cost 5p...
All in all though, if certain discontinued crisps could return to give us a taste of those days gone by, we'd be flying. Take a walk down memory lane with us as we revisit the crisps no longer around that we'd love to taste one more time.

Barry McGuigan's Nettle-Flavoured Crisps
The boxer released his own crisp line in the '80s, with nettle flavour carrying a particular "sting". That's us quoting the ad, not being clever.

Well, remember all those? We didn't know how good we had it. If only we knew to savour our last bite while we had the chance...
