Located in the heart of Miami, Collection Suites is comprised of luxury units where collectors of high-end cars, fine wines, rare art and other exclusive goods can both store and display their prized possessions in their private, customized space. These suites are designed so that the owners can also entertain friends or conduct business meetings amongst their collections.
Miami is one of the country’s top cities for luxury and collectible vehicles, and a growing need for owners living in these multi-million dollar condos to keep their high-end goods in a private and secure space, Collection Suites is a great solution for this luxury market.
The private units range in size from 2,057 to 2,076 square feet and include many luxury amenities like; bathrooms with luxury finishes, Italian finished cabinets, a state of the art security system, LED lighting, black Italian ceramic floors, Swiss wood floors, modern concrete wall finishes, top-of-the-line appliances, a fully integrated entertainment system, air conditioning with CO2 emission alert, on-site management, and the complex is completely security gated and guarded.
The father and son developers of Collection Suites are Juan Manuel and Lino Fayen. Lino Fayen was born in 1925 and started racing cars in France in the 1950s. He then moved to Caracas after a successful racing career. Juan Manuel, Lino’s son, grew up on a motor speedway and was always passionate about cars and collecting them.
The Fayen’s live in luxury condos on Miami’s waterfront, and like most developments in Miami, there is not enough parking space or adequate security in the condo units to store their high valued collection. After searching for the right storage for their collectibles, the Fayen’s couldn’t find the right product to house their collections, so they created their own. Their massive exotic car collection alone could take up an entire warehouse and include such luxury vehicles as; Ferrari 599 GTO 2011, Maserati Mistral 4000 GT Spyder 1963, Lamborghini Countach 25 Anniversary 1989, Porsche 964 RSR 3.8 Race Car 1993 and a Mercedes Benz AMG GT Last Edition 2015.
Lino, the third generation Fayen, is spearheading Collection Suites. The complex is comprised of 38 luxury showrooms, each private unit is constructed so that owners can exhibit their collections of goods ranging from luxury cars to original artwork and fine wine.
I had a chance to speak with the Fayen’s prior to their grand opening in Miami.
“We thought it would be great to have a facility where everybody had the same passion for collecting cars and motorcycles, and we could all hang out together and share this love we have for the cars. A place where people could bring their cars, wines, art, and watches in a really secure, safe and private space,” says Lino.
“We have created a personal showroom for each owner to display their collections. Once you arrive at your personal unit through a large entry door, you will see the ground floor for your parked cars. The ground floor also has a kitchen and wet bar with wine cooler. On the top floor is the mezzanine accessed by a stainless steel spiral staircase which provides a full view of your private showroom.”
Juan Manual adds, “We will also certify all sub-contractors if owners need somebody to take care of their cars, this will help provide the best security for their collections. Our typical buyer is someone like me who has over 10 cars. Many owners live in condominiums on the ocean and that is also a problem with corrosion on their vehicles, so this also helps safeguard their collection.”
