Emelle was blocked from The Circle on Wednesday night, in a move that rocked the contestants and the viewers - while catfish James was clearly playing the game.
She was the first contestant to leave the show, with it announced in the group chat.
The players had spent day two getting to know each other, with an ice breaker task giving them an insight into each person.
With Tim and "catfish" Sammie, who is in fact James, being the influencers they were tasked with choosing someone to block from the game.
As those fearing they faced the chop tried to get to know them, hoping to get on side with them, unfortunately one of them wasn't so lucky.
Ahead of Richard Madeley's arrival, Tim and Sammie/James announced to the apartment who they were axing from the game.
After heading to The Hangout to debate who to get rid of, they each saved a contestant before they were left with just three names.
It was eventually agreed that Emelle would be the one to leave, with Tim giving the reasons in the chat before announcing the name.
As the result came in, she was heard crying in the bathroom as her co-stars reeled from the news.
Brooke shouted out in shock, as Sy agreed - while there was another twist to come.
Emelle got to meet one of her neighbours in person before she left for good, and she chose Sammie AKA catfish James.
As the two came face-to-face, he was left feeling pretty awkward while Emelle was gobsmacked over the twist that Sammie wasn't real.
She admitted: "I definitely didn't expect you to be a boy," but said she knew something was off - before warning him to get rid of Tim next.
Meanwhile, fans were stunned by the departure with one fan tweeting: "Omfg! As if Emelle has been blocked."
Another agreed: "I'm so p***ed wtf did Emelle actually do."
A third added: "Kinda sad that Emelle was blocked. She could've had a strong game if given the chance."
The Circle continues weeknights at 10pm on Channel 4.
