The Chicest Catsuits to Channel Your Inner Sartorial Superhero a la Blake Lively

At the recent premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine, everyone was expecting Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds to be the stars of the evening. They play the two titular characters, after all. But the real superhero was Blake Lively, who set off a flurry of camera flashes as soon as she stepped out in a custom Atelier Versace catsuit. The embroidered one-piece featuring an off-the-shoulder silhouette shut down the red carpet. Although it's ignited the debate of whether us mere mortals can pull off catsuits IRL.

Mark us down as a "yes." We've been obsessed with the tight-fitting jumpsuits ever since Saint Laurent brought them back in fashion via its Spring 2022 collection. Anthony Vaccarello served up so many, it was hard to choose a favorite or to even track one down. We totally get that the clingy pieces can be a bit intimidating. But we're determined to make them more mainstream by increasing your comfort level when it comes to flaunting one.

Timing is everything. The move from summer to fall is a great period to buy a catsuit since they cover too much to be sported in summer. (Even if the one you're about to have your eye on is sleeveless.) While designed to be worn solo, a little creative styling can help you embrace the emerging trend. See how Mytheresa made rocking Norma Kamali's jersey version infinitely more achievable by slipping a sleek leather skirt over it. Once colder weather makes itself known, slip a sweater or cardigan on top for extra warmth and coverage.

Price can be a factor, however. Catsuits can be kinda expensive. We can only imagine how much Versace would ask for Lively's creation. Versace Jeans Couture's catsuit is far more reasonable at $450. We found a few for even less. Like Reformation's off-the-shoulder black number for $168 and The Upside's sportier take for under $100. Kamali's entry is a real bargain at only $105.

Ready to shop? Here are the most stylish catsuits you can wear with confidence even if you're not a member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
