Last summer, Manchester finally got it's very own ball pit, and unlike Wacky Warehouse, this one was adult-only. Bingo Balls opened up at The Printworks in July and offered 90s and early noughties kids a nostalgic trip back in time with its Mean Girls-inspired 'burn book', Barbie v Bratz wall and two huge ball pits lit up with LED lights.
Now, it's giving the same people the chance to relive their youth as cheesy pop sensations, The Cheeky Girls, take to the bar's stage for a special Easter performance. Identical twin sisters Gabriela and Monica Irimia are on the Bingo Balls line-up for the weekend alongside a host of other acts from Thursday through to Sunday.
The 'Cheeky Easter Sunday Bingo' will span bottomless brunch in the day, music bingo and a live set by night, and for fans of the ‘Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)’ singers a special meet-and-greet with Gabriela and Monica, aka The Cheeky Girls, following the gig. Early-bird tickets were scooped up quickly, but there's a final release still available, and ball pit passes too.

The Printworks bar will get the Easter party started on Thursday evening with Sandi Ego’s House Party, before Music Bingo on Friday, which kicks off at 8pm and goes on until the small hours with a afterparty of 'strictly 'party bangers', spanning Hip-hop, R&B and chart music.
On Saturday, the bar hosts DJ Danny Sense will be on the decks all night as part of its Starstruck Saturdays event. To round things off nicely, Sunday night will see the arrival of the Cheeky Girls in the city, with a Cheeky Easter Bingo and a live performance.
Billed as the first ball pit for grown-ups in the North, Bingo Balls opened in The Printworks last summer and is home to drag brunches, burlesque shows, and of course, two adult-only ball pits. The Instagrammable space is designed as a nostalgia trip with iconic film quotes in neon signs dotted around the space.
Speaking at the time, Nicole Marie Lanera, from Bingo Balls, said: “Planning this venue has taken us all back to our childhoods and we think we’ve perfectly captured that 90s nostalgia with a 2022 twist. All the team here can’t wait to open our doors officially and invite the whole of Manchester down to jump right in!”
Just a heads up, if you're thinking of belly flopping into the ball pit after the gig, you'll need to buy ball pit tickets alongside entry tickets. You can purchase entry to the ball pit on the night at the venue, but it will be more expensive. Entry for their Easter weekend parties starts from £5, with tickets on sale now through the bar's website.
