Thousands of Irish people are now looking to get onto the property ladder but with house prices soaring across the country, prospective homebuyers are finding it increasingly difficult to find a house to make a home.
According to Central Bank data, the average house in Ireland cost €318,000 in the fourth quarter of 2021.
The CSO also revealed that house prices have risen nationally by a further 2.2% on average between December and the end of April.

With that in mind, we have gone searching to find you the cheapest "walk in" homes in every county in Ireland, and the results were surprising.
Carlow
