Another year, another new iPhone. Apple unveiled its latest smartphone series, the iPhone 16, this week at the big Apple Glowtime event, and it’s full of fancy new bells and whistles. It’s got the highly talked-about Apple Intelligence, powerful new A18 processors, larger displays, a 17 per cent increase in memory, and significant camera upgrades, including an ultrawide camera. So, naturally, everyone wants one.
It’ll come as no surprise that the new iPhone 16s are pretty expensive. The standard iPhone 16 starts at $1,399, the iPhone 16 Plus starts at $1,599, and the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max start at $1,799 and $2,149, respectively.
The standard and plus models will be available in black, white, pink, teal, and ultramarine, while the Pro models will be available in black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium colourways. Schmick!
All four iPhone 16 handsets will be available on Australia’s big three telcos (Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone). Customers can buy an iPhone 16 handset outright or on 12, 24, or 36-month plans.
So, if your current phone burns through its battery after a mere 20 minutes of doom-scrolling, or your screen is so smashed that you can barely read a text, it might be time to consider an upgrade.
