The cheapest and most expensive properties for sale in 'Scotland's best place to live'

The Isle of Bute was recently named the best place to live in Scotland.

Sunday Times' Best Places to Live named the Isle champion based on a number of factors including schools, transport, health of the high street, green spaces and even broadband.

A total of seven Scottish areas were named among the best places to live UK wide.

The list described the Isle of Bute by saying: "Island life with a difference takes pride of place in Scotland. Just 90 minutes from Glasgow, Bute stands head and shoulders above all the other Scottish Islands for commutability, and it’s full of adventurous locals fizzing with ideas to make their neighbourhoods shine."

In light of the announcement, we took a look at the most and least expensive home currently for sale on the Isle of Bute.

According to Halifax, the average property price in the area is £155,000.
