ITV's The Chase viewers have hit back after a Scottish contestant appeared on the show.
Steve, 53, from Kilmarnock went head to head with chaser Jenny Ryan, 'The Vixen' after an impressive cash builder round.
The hill walking fan admitted to host Bradley Walsh that if he wins the cash prize, he would take his wife to Glasgow to visit a jewellers.

Steve said she was a 'fan of the bling'.
Ollie responded on Twitter: "What kind of damage? Is he planning on robbing the place?".
In the cash builder round, Steve fired through the questions, getting eight correct in total.
Viewers took to Twitter to support the Scot.
One posted: "Come on Steve go high".
"Well, he didn't make us look like idiots. Go Steve!!", Marianne said.
A third said: "Them Scots are sharp!".
As he powered through the questions, one viewer cheered Steve on as his wife's new gold looked in sight: "Yes Steve! Treat your wife! Happy wife happy life".
However as he went head to head with the Chaser, Steve's luck appeared to run out as the questions grew increasingly difficult.
After failing a question about the idiom, 'We'll burn that bridge when we get to it", mistakenly calling it a 'spoonerism' when it is in fact a malaphor, Steve was eliminated.
Louis said: "Think Steve was unlucky there - Would have rather seen him go through. Sorry Mrs Steve! No diamonds".
Michelle claimed Steve had been set up: "Steve has been massively stitched up on The Chase".
Jeanie penned: "They were seriously hard questions for Steve poor sod".
"Steve's questions were horrifying there", Jonny added.
Jules claimed: "Hardest set of questions ever for Steve...proper fix!"
