The Chase viewers complain 'please stop' over ITV studio 'issue'

ITV viewers were left enraged by the most recent episode of quiz-staple The Chase, calling on bosses to make major changes to the widely-watched and usually enjoyed afternoon show.

The big hitter returned Friday (April 14) with host Bradley Walsh welcoming four new contestants with high hopes of bagging a major cash prize.

And as fans tuned in for the latest instalment, contestants Malcolm, Susan, Nadeem and Maryanne slugged it out with Chaser Paul Sinha for the all-important jackpot prize.

The Star reports however, that fans couldn't help but get vexed at what they believed was canned laughter during the show - never scared to vent their frustration online. One person, raged: “The Chase needs to stop with the canned laughter. They don’t even use it at funny moments.

Another added: "Please lose the canned laughter," while a third, penned: "Not that funny."

In the show, Maryanne played first - but her luck ran dry on the show after she was caught by the Sinhaman. Susan was up next, who managed to bring back £6,000 to the coveted Final Chase.

Nadeem accepted the middle offer on his turn, making it back to his team with £2,000 - with Malcolm taking the higher incentive, successfully bolstering the final cash pot to £60,000.

Pressure built in the studio as the team battled it out one final time with Paul, with 13 questions correct in their round. Luckily, the team also bolstered their hopes by achieving four pushbacks - two of which were answered correctly.

In the end though, it wasn't enough - with Sinha catching the team's tally and forcing them to walk away empty handed.
