Going on The Chase does not guarantee you a big money win, just like becoming Prime Minister does not guarantee you a full term in office, and viewers of The Chase have compared one team's dreadful performance to the short time Liz Truss was in office. None of the team were able to make it past the cash builder and Chaser Mark Labbett, known as The Beast.
Bradley Walsh's team of four, Kwame, Kathy, Abdallah, and Elizabeth were unable to beat The Chaser on the ITV game show and despite being allowed back for a second go, still left empty-handed. Elizabeth narrowly missed out on winning £50,000 on the cash builder after she failed to press her button and select her answer for the last question.
A second lost out on £100,000 and all four failed to build any cash at all. It's a rare occurrence, but it has happened in the past and when it does happen one caught contestant is nominated by the team and returns to face the Chaser alone.
This time it was Kathy. Who didn't beat The Beast.

Many fans on Twitter compared the team's hopeless performance to Liz Truss's short time as British Prime Minister after she announced her resignation on Thursday, October 20. One person said: "Between Liz Truss and the 4 contestants, nobody is lasting too long today."
Another added: "Todays ‘The Chase’ contestants are as thick as the ex PM" and: "Today's #theChase going about as well as Truss's tenure as PM."
A fourth said: "wow. completely useless. just like the tory government hahahahahahaaha....*trails off crying* #thechase." Another said: "I lasted longer on toilet then them 4 contestant and liz truss put together ffs."
As all four contestants were booted from the show in the cash builder round meaning they were allowed to come back and nominate one team member to face the Chaser head-on. They choose Kathy who won the most in her round, £9,000, however despite answering 15 questions successfully the Chaser beat her easily and they won no money, with The Beast sitting smugly in his chair.
