The Chase's Jenny Ryan has addressed rumours that Chasers will occasionally let contestants win and throw a game. Jenny, known on the show as The Vixen, appeared on Good Morning Britain on Friday, May 26.
Her appearance was in honour of "World Redhead Day" - Jenny says she is proud of her auburn locks and said her favourite redhead is Little Orphan Annie, Liverpool Echo reports.
She said: "I think people would expect me to say Elizabeth I or someone highbrow but it's Annie. Her hair was her crowning glory".
She later told hosts Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins she and her fellow Chasers will study endlessly for the show and treat it "like a professional sport". She said: "You have to keep on top of the news, everything is changing everyday.
"There's something new to learn all the time so you have to be in work mode and keep up with the things that are changing in the world.
Ben said: "So when someone turns round and goes 'that Chaser's thrown it' that must drive you absolutely mad for them to think you would go easy on someone because you took pity on them."
Jenny replied: "No. We can't afford to let our competitive instinct drop at any point. We are there to win every single match. We might feel guilty afterwards if we prevented a few extra quid going to charity maybe but we still have to keep up that will to win and we're as focused as ever."
