The Chase's Bradley Walsh in hysterics as question pokes fun at ITV's Declan Donnelly

The Chase’s host Bradley Walsh was left in hysterics on Thursday evening’s episode of the popular show, as a question poked fun at Declan Donnelly’s height.

Bradley Walsh hosted another episode of the popular ITV quiz show, where contestants took on The Chaser in the hopes of walking away with their share of a huge cash prize.

As one of the contestants faced off against The Vixen Jenny Ryan, the question ‘Who wrote the book No One Is Too Small to Make a Difference?’ appeared on the screen.

The options were either Greta Thunberg, Malala Yousafzai or Declan Donnelly - the last of which host Bradley cracked up while reading, as Jenny laughed along too.

Contestant Ollie gave the correct answer of Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, whose book was published in 2019.

The Chase fans were similarly in stitches over the question, with one writing on social media: “DECLAN DONNELLY HAHAHA #thechase”

Another tweeted: “Declan #thechase” alongside a string of crying laughing emojis.

This comes after The Chase's Mark Labbett returned to the ITV show on Wednesday evening’s episode after storming off the set as his opposition took home a jackpot of £21,000 last week.

The Beast congratulated the contestants for their win before leaving the studio and punching the wall on the way out, but took to Twitter following the episode to address his response and said his mental health was “shot” at the time of taping.

As The Beast emerged from the tunnel to take on the team of Melanie, James, Eirlys and Jeff, host Bradley did not directly address the incident but described Mark as a “bad boy”.

When the game had finished and Mark had failed to catch the team, he said: “Well played guys, you deserve it – I’m off.”

Following the wall-punching incident, Bradley immediately apologised for Mark's behaviour on the ITV show, telling viewers that isn't how people should deal with defeat.

Looking shocked, Bradley said: “I apologise to all the kids watching. That’s not how you should take defeat. You should take it magnanimously and humbly.”

Bradley said: “As heroes go, he's less David Crockett, more potato croquette. The face says it all. The bad boy himself. Mark Labbett.”

Mark took to Twitter to issue an apology after the incident, writing: “Apologies to those of you disappointed with my behaviour tonight.

“My mental health was shot before that game, it was storm off or break down in tears. A remorseless diet of quality opponents didn’t help #thechase.”
