The Chase's Anne Hegerty opens up on relationship with 'legendary' quiz host Bradley Walsh

STV has been airing The Chase for a number of years now with many familiar with the Chasers and their catchy nicknames.

Alongside Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan and Darragh Ennis, one Chaser has become a firm fan favourite having joined the show back in 2010 - over 10 years ago.

Anne Hegerty, given the name Frosty Knickers by host Bradley Walsh has recently opened up on her relationship with the host branding him a "legendary presenter."

Speaking to the Express, the Chaser admitted her favourite thing about being on the show was working alongside Bradley.

Touching on their relationship, Anne admitted: "Oh I have too many favourite things. Possibly working with Brad.

"He is just this legendary presenter, and he is just such a nice guy, all the Chasers have such a nice rapport with him.

"But also the fact that it is a job that I can do. It is sort of tailor-made for me and I can earn a decent living just by doing a few hours of work every day, which is brilliant.

Bradley Walsh (Bradley Walsh is a much loved TV host.)

"So yeah it suits me down to a t. I always say, any time that I am filming for The Chase, the actual filming for The Chase is the easy part of my day and everything else is more difficult so yeah, I absolutely love it."

Co-star Darragh Ennis, who joined the show only a few years ago in 2020 also had high praises for the presenting star, as he said: "Oh it is so much fun!

"You know when you were in school and there was the kid that your mother told you not to sit beside, that was Brad, as a grown-up, he is like a giant child.

"He is just so much fun, I know there are some people on TV who have the character they adopt, but that is not him at all.

"He is that person and he is just having a laugh and it is so much easier to work with someone like that, I love having a laugh and making fun of each other."

Since her rise to popularity with members of the public, Anne has gone on to take part in shows such as I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, DNA Journey and Cooking with the Stars.

She recently admitted that she would love to follow in the footsteps of Bradley, and show off her acting skills.
