The Chase fans wonder if they're really watching Stars in Their Eyes

The Chase welcomed a lineup of "famous singers" to today's programme.

Bradley Walsh welcomed the team as they got ready to try and win themselves a hefty cash prize. Their opponent was Shaun Wallace who brought attention to a very obvious inside joke that managed to go right over Bradley's head.

The four contestants were named Adele, Elvis, Tina and Prince. After realising what the producers were up to, it invited a handful of jokes from Bradley and Shaun who made sure to cash in on the situation.

Adele was the first contestant to face Shaun but was sadly knocked out of the competition with Elvis quickly following suit. Tina and Prince made it to the final but their trivia knowledge was swept aside by viewers in order to also make a dig at their names.

One viewer said: "Whoever lines up the contestants for #TheChase #itv1 needs a pay rise." Another added: "Not sure if I'm watching the Chase or Stars in Their Eyes."

While a third viewer said: "This tribute band feels quite budget." A final added: "I see the producers have played the name game today..."

When it came to the final head-to-head, Tina managed to defeat The Chaser all by herself after he teammates bit the dust.
