The Chase fans thrilled as they 'recognise' contestant

Viewers of The Chase were quick to "recognise" a player during this week's fourth instalment of the popular ITV quiz show.

Thursday's episode saw Vickie from Middlesex, Julie from Vale of Glamorgan, Angus from Newcastle and Tim from the Isle of Man team up to take on one of Britain's biggest brains. The team of four were hoping to take home some serious cash.

Bradley Walsh introduced the new contestants, with it soon becoming apparent they'd be going up against the Governess.

Vickie was up first, answering an impressive six questions correctly in her cash builder round. She then made it back to the table with £6,000, after taking the middle offer from Anne Hegerty.

Up next was Julie. She told Bradley she'd like to learn to fly a plane, and if she won any money she would visit the north of Australia. She also answered six questions correctly, but fans were distracted by her appearance.

Many viewers thought she looked a lot like Dame Helen Mirren. Taking to Twitter, Steve said: "Never thought I'd see Helen Mirren on The Chase".

Lydia said: "Helen Mirren in seat 2 there", while Angela said: "Julie reminds me of Helen Mirren". Like Vickie, Julie also made it back to the team with £6,000.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
