The Chase fans realise where they 'recognise' contestant from

Viewers of The Chase were quick to "recognise" a player during this week's fourth instalment of the popular ITV quiz show.

Thursday's episode saw Jim from Edinburgh, Anna from Hertfordshire, Pam from Lincolnshire, and Jay from Loughborough team up to take on one of Britain's biggest brains. The team of four were hoping to take home some serious cash.

Bradley Walsh introduced the new contestants, and after Jim's cash builder round it was announced they'd be going up against the Governess.

Jim answered a hugely impressive nine questions correctly, and made it back to the table with £9,000 after taking the middle offer from Anne Hegerty.

Up next was Anna, who told Bradley she should probably spend any winnings on driving lessons but would rather book a holiday to Costa Rica. She answered two questions correctly, and made it back to the team with £2,000 after also taking the middle offer.

And some viewers watching at home were distracted by her appearance. Many thought she looked like a certain Hollywood film star.

Taking to Twitter, Cheryl said: "She looks like the girl out of The Queen's Gambit", while Samantha said: "Anna reminds me a bit of Anna Taylor-Joy (Peaky Blinders, The Queen's Gambit)" and Ashley said: "Wow she is so like Anna Taylor-Joy isn't she?"

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITVX
