Fans of The Chase who have been left fuming after not seeing a particular chaser in a long run of episodes have expressed their delight at seeing his return. Loyal followers of the ITV quiz have become increasingly disgruntled after Darragh 'The Menace' Ennis has failed to appear in the hot seat since the show returned for a new series.
And anxiety was clearly building that it may happen again. One person wrote on Twitter: "I swear if Darragh doesn't walk across that bridge today I will not be responsible for my actions." Others added: "If if isn't Darragh I will riot" and: "Please be bloody Darragh."
But the relief was evident once the Irish quizzer finally took his position as his legion of fans celebrated his dominant win, which saw him eliminate two out of four contestants before winning the final chase by answering 16 questions correctly with 18 seconds remaining. Along with praise from many calling the chaser "cool", "fit" and "a star" another person wrote: "Good job, Darragh - you really gave the team what for. See you again tomorrow."

Although some fans fear it may be the last time he is seen for a while. One wrote: "Embrace Darragh. He won't be seen for another 86 years." You can read more stories about The Chase here.
