The Chase fans furious after Liverpool contestant's round

The Chase fans were furious to see a Scouse player take the low offer.

Bradley Walsh welcomed another group of players to today's show ready to take on The Chaser. Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan was today's quizmaster but her first offer sparked viewer outrage online.

First to take on The Vixen was retired Merseyside police offer, Nick. The Liverpudlian played an impressive round, securing £7,000 without breaking a sweat and proving himself as a strong competitor. Taking this on board, Nick was handed a high offer of £30,000 and a low offer of only £2,000.

Despite breezing through the speed round, Nick accepted the low offer and cut £5,000 from his potential prize pot. His fellow teammates were caught with their mouths open in shock as they couldn't believe his decision.

Nick explained he didn't feel confident in the head-to-head and would "rather take at least a small amount back to the team." Not convinced by his explanation, or happy with taking the low offer, viewers were outraged by what they just witnessed.

One viewer said: "What. The. Actual."

A third viewer said: "Another low offer . Why go through the whole process of getting on a show then." A final added: "Oh my word! Low offer as the first player I hope he goes out."

Nick secured the £2,000 for his team but was mocked by Bradley on his way back to the panel. After missing a high-five, an awkward silence followed as he took his place. Jenny commended Nick for "making the right decision" but his team were eventually taken down with seven seconds to spare.
