The Chase viewers became distracted when a contestant bore a resemblance to a very famous Hollywood star.
Host Bradley Walsh welcomed Emily, Sue, Chris and Callum to try and beat The Chaser on Tuesday’s show.
The lucky hopefuls were told they would be going head to head with The Governess Anne Hegerty.
Introducing herself, pretty contestant Emily told viewers she was a police officer from Carlisle.
And it wasn’t long before viewers were rushing to Twitter to fawn over her good looks.
The Daily Star reported one social media user said: “Is she the ginger Blake Lively?”
Others joked they would travel to Carlisle just so they could be arrested by police officer Emily.

One tweeted: “Think I’ll go to Carlisle and get arrested if Emily is a police officer #TheChase.”
Another said: “Ok so I’m off out to look for this policewoman, hopefully she’ll arrest me. Carlisle ain’t that big #TheChase.”
“Emily can arrest me any day #TheChase,” a third commented, with a fourth saying: “Emily has handcuffs #TheChase.”
A fifth chimed in: “Wouldn’t mind being ‘cuffed by Emily #TheChase.”
While a sixth posted the ‘How you doing?’ gif of Joey from Friends and wrote: “Emily...aye #TheChase.”
When Emily stepped up to the podium to take her turn, host Bradley asked her about her job and hobbies.
She said she was a “police officer for Cumbria police” which prompted Bradley to ask whether she was “on the beat or in a car”.
Emily said she had dabbled in different police departments and it was a “mixed bag most of the time”.
Host Bradley then turned the camera and directly spoke to Emily’s mother saying “you would” worry about her.
When it came to her hobbies, Emily said she enjoys watching telly and going for walks in the Lake District with her boyfriend, causing outrage on Twitter once more that she was taken.
Although Emily impressed viewers with her looks, they weren’t so keen on her game show skills.
When contestants make it through the cash builder round they are given the option of picking the low, middle or high offer to try and make it back to their co-contestants and reach the final round.
Bradley asked Emily which offer she thought should be picked – and much to fan’s dismay she chose the lowest offer every time.
One irate viewer tweeted: “Emily is getting on my f•••••• nerves... LOW enabling... don’t give a s••• how pretty she is!!!! #TheChase.”
“Surprised Emily didn’t pull out her warrant card arrogant so and so #TheChase,” another wrote.
“Not sure Emily knows her own name #TheChase,” a third commented.
But despite criticism from fans Emily beat The Chaser and went through to the final.
