The Chase viewers were left gutted for Swansea contestant, Chris, after he was eliminated by Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty. In a mixed-bag round, Chris was told by host Bradley Walsh that he "can't have been out of Wales much" when he said that the M5 went through Manchester.
The stylish contestant, who wore a slick man-bun, had a strong start in Monday's (May 30) show and won £7,000 on the cash-builder. He was subsequently offered a high offer of £27,500 and a low offer of £1,000. Keen to make it back to his other contestants, Chris chose to stick with the £7,000. But unfortunately for him, it wasn't enough.
Prior to the multiple-choice round, rock band singer Chris told Bradley Walsh that should he win the money, he would "go away" and if he won enough money, he would "buy a new guitar." The Swansea contestant already has nine guitars in his collection.

Chris' knowledge, unfortunately, doesn't stretch to motorways. He is asked which motorway serves West Bromwich and Weston Super-Mare. He is given the multiple choice of M3, M4 and M5.
"I don't think it's the M4 because that comes to Swansea where I am," justifying his M3 answer to Bradley.
He adds: "M3 goes north towards Manchester," as Bradley watches on, astounded by the answer. To his fellow contestants and audience's laughter, the host tells him: "You haven't been out of Wales much, have you?"
The jackpot was not to be claimed by a Welshman on Monday (May 30) but here's hoping that one will beat a Chaser later in the week.
The Chase airs on weekdays on ITV at 5pm
