The Challenge: Ride or Dies power rankings after ep. 15

WARNING: SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU’VE SEEN THE LATEST EPISODE OF THE CHALLENGE!

Ready?

Season 38 of The Challenge is here: Ride or Dies, which pairs up competitors with one family member, friend or significant other as pairs try to win money. There are sure to be twists and turns that we’ll see throughout the season that might change everything.

As usual, we’ll do some power rankings each week to see who’s in the lead … and who could fall short.

In this week’s episode: Two teams face off in a continuation of last week’s episode, the favorites continue to dominate and another pairing went home.

1
Bananas and Nany

Obviously. Despite Nany having to watch Kaycee go home (see below), they won this week’s challenge — in which the competitors got into a bus filled with colored balls and had to read signs on the road that told them the order they had to fill out in a puzzle with said balls, all while the bus drove all over the place — and they seemingly made a good call saving Faysal and Moriah while getting one of the stronger pairs out of the game.

A HUGE week for the favorites.

2
Horacio and Olivia

WOW. They almost won the challenge this week, pulled the SAFE dagger, and live to fight another day. They’re still top contenders who continue to impress every single week.

3
Devin and Tori

WHEW. They got saved by Olivia and Horacio when the SAFE dagger got pulled, and thank goodness for that. I still think they’re so balanced, they could easily win it all in a final.

4
Jordan and Aneesa

Not only did they win Knot So Fast — the classic elimination challenge in which you need to take a rope and wrap it around a climbing structure before your opponents need to undo it — to stay in the game. They also killed it in Rumble Tumble (the women were strapped to each other back-to-back and had to pull each other to try and knock over some structures) when they faced Chauncey and Amber.

It’s incredible to see these two hit their stride at exactly the right time with some confidence-building wins.

5
Faysal and Moriah

I like that when they got back together, they seemingly hammered out their differences. But I worry about them because we know Faysal has had some trouble in the past in partnerships and Moriah is a rookie. We’ll see!

6
Chauncey and Amber (eliminated)

I admit: My confidence in them wasn’t high all season. But Amber once again proved me — and everyone — wrong. And Chauncey got better and better throughout this year.

That said … why did they volunteer for the elimination bout? Can Challenge contestants stop doing that?

Congrats on a great season, even if they fell short.

7
Kaycee and Kenny (eliminated)

Gutting to see the siblings leave the game, especially with Nany staying in. Kenny tried his hardest to keep up with the rest of his fellow competitors, but it wasn’t enough (although I appreciate the effort!). And Kaycee? I hope she’ll be back again to build on an already-incredible Challenge career.
