The Boston Celtics recently came down from a six-game win streak. Despite some tough shooting nights, Joe Mazzulla‘s team is finding ways to grind out wins with some rare exceptions, which is something former iterations of the current roster weren’t always capable of doing. After an 11-3 start, Celtics fans are allowing themselves to start dreaming of a potential championship run.
What’s most encouraging is that the Celtics are showcasing a diverse shot profile. They’re no longer living by the three-point line. Instead, they’re getting to their spots in the mid-range, attacking out of the post, and relentlessly pressuring the rim. The new coaching staff has incorporated a diverse principal-based system that is allowing the team’s star talent to flourish.
In the latest episode of the “Green With Envy” podcast, Adam Taylor and Will Weir discuss the Celtics hot start to the season and why the team is showing that they’re finally ready to compete at the highest level. From offensive and defensive execution to multiple players taking another step in their development.
