The Cardiff City v Swansea City things missed as changing room 'messy', infamous banner updated and Kipre's double headlock

Swansea City hit a late winner against Cardiff City through Ben Cabango to earn the South Wales derby bragging rights for the fourth time in a row.

The Bluebirds looked as though they had stolen a point late on through Sory Kaba, but Cabango's injury-time strike put paid to that.

Here, we look at some of the things which you might have missed...

Martin: Changing room got 'messy' quickly

Russell Martin revealed the Swansea changing room got "messy" very quickly after the final whistle.

"It was messy, it was wet!" Swans boss Martin said after the match. "People dancing, and yeah, just a brilliant moment to share with a group of men that are fantastic players and human beings.

"A lot of them so young, and to have this moment so early on in your career is brilliant.

"I love them, I mean that. I love them as a group of players, I love the staff we work with, I love working at this football club. We'll do what we're trying to do and build and be what we want to try and be for the whole time that we're here. It's always been a long-term plan."

That was in stark contrast to the Bluebirds' changing room, of course, with Cardiff manager Sabri Lamouchi saying: "The atmosphere in the locker room is absolutely different than the opponent's locker room."

Infamous banner gets update

When Swansea last year recorded the first ever league double over Cardiff in the 110-year history of the fixture, an infamous banner was born.

The sign in the away end read: "110 years. One doube." The misspelling of 'double' became both funny and iconic for Swans supporters.

Well, now, Martin has recorded four straight victories over Cardiff since taking over in Swansea, ultimately making it a 'double double', which is quite remarkable in itself.

And Swansea fans were quick to alter their banner in the away end after the match, but, of course, decided to keep the same spelling.

It now reads: "111 years. 2 doubes."

Well played!

Kipre's double headlock

Cardiff City centre-back Cedric Kipre was right in the middle of a few skirmishes during the course of the match.

After challenging Andy Fisher, fairly, for a header in the first half, Harry Darling took umbrage and made a beeline for the centre-back.

Before you knew it, Cabango was involved, too, and Kipre was left fending for himself. Not one to back down easily, Kipre grabbed both Swans players in a headlock and attempted to get the situation under control, but it was eventually broken up.

The Ivorian was playing on the edge throughout the match, ultimately getting a booking for a foul on Jamie Paterson late on, which led to the winner, and had a couple of scuffles with Joel Piroe throughout the match, too.

Mascot steals the pre-match show

One cheeky Bluebirds mascot had the stadium in stitches in the moments preceding kick-off.

Just as the teams came out of the tunnel and separated to take their respective ends of the pitch, a young City mascot sprinted away into the corner of the ground, where the away fans were situated.

Seemingly undeterred by the raucous and vocal nature of the visiting support, the City youngster made a beeline for the corner flag before appearing to slap the Cardiff badge and throw his fist up in the air.

Cue chaos among the Cardiff admin stuff, with one employee having to pelt it across the turf to get the kid away. Fortunately, it was all taken in good spirits and the young lad walks away with a story to tell.

Club legend Trundle in chant with fans

The atmosphere among the away supporters before the match was boiling over into fever pitch as they reached the concourse at Cardiff City Stadium.

Swans supporters were in full voice in the minutes ahead of kick-off, belting out songs of support for their own team and, as is customary ahead of such fiercely-contested rivalries, anti-Cardiff chants.

And Swansea club legend Lee Trundle was right in the thick of it ahead of the match. In a video which was posted on social media, Trundle was pictured on top of a fellow fan's shoulders singing in unison with his fellow Swans.
