Here is your 5pm transfer round-up of Bluebirds news on transfer deadline day.
Fringe players expected to depart on loan
Cardiff City are expecting a couple of 'fringe' first-team players to leave on loan before tonight's deadline.
So far the Bluebirds have only allowed under-23s players Chanka Zimba and James Connolly to head out on loan, to Northampton Town and Bristol Rovers respectively, while Kieffer Moore is expected to be announced as a Bournemouth player imminently.
And while it was originally thought that Moore would be the only deadline-day departure, WalesOnline has learned that there could be more in the pipeline before tonight is through.
Quite how many remains to be seen at present, but sources have stated that "a few fringe players from the squad" are on their way out for loan stints.
Expect updates on these in the coming hours.

Wells and Palmer stances emerge
Cardiff City have enquired about signing Nahki Wells on loan but it now looks as though the chances of that happening are slim.
The Bluebirds asked Bristol City about taking the 31-year-old striker, but we have been told there is a reluctance from the Robins to allow him to join their Severnside rivals.
It is understood that Bristol City would prefer to sell Wells and Cardiff are only in the loan market on deadline day.
Cardiff are pressing ahead with their attempt to replace Kieffer Moore before the day is over.
As for Palmer, sources in Bristol suggest the story is much the same – Cardiff have enquired but the Robins would prefer a sale.
From a Cardiff standpoint, Palmer operates in the middle or on the wing and the need to sign a player in his position seems less pressing, they believe, than getting a striker through the door.
Neither player seem likely to sign now for Cardiff as things stand.
Forest hijack Surridge deal
Cardiff City's move to sign Stoke City striker Sam Surridge is off as Nottingham Forest have hijacked a deal to sign the striker permanently for around £2m.
The Bluebirds were confident in landing the Potters forward on loan in a bid to replace Kieffer Moore, who is bound for a permanent switch to Bournemouth.
We were told Cardiff were hopeful of getting the deal over the line but still had some final details to thrash out before the move could be sealed.
However, at the last gasp, Forest have intervened and tabled a bid, worth around £2m, for a permanent deal for Surridge, scuppering Cardiff's chances of landing the 23-year-old.
Reports suggest Surridge arrived at Forest for a medical this afternoon.
Forest boss Steve Cooper is a huge admirer of Surridge, having signed the striker during his time at Swansea City.
Cooper was understood to be in the market for a forward on deadline day after striker Lewis Grabban limped off against Cardiff City in the 2-1 win for the Bluebirds on Sunday afternoon.
Harris appointed at Gillingham
Neil Harris has officially been unveiled as Gillingham manager.
The 44-year-old has been out of work for a year since leaving the Bluebirds but have joined relegation-threatened Gils in League One.
Harris, and former Bluebirds assistant coach David Livermore, have signed two-and-a-half-year deals at Preistfield.
Given Harris' links with Cardiff and his close personal relationship with Steve Morison, it will lead many to speculate whether he might get any of his ex-Bluebirds players in during the final throes of the window.
Could potentially be one to watch in the coming hours...
