The Bristol properties that have been on the market the longest

Demand for Bristol properties is nothing new and thanks to its diverse culture and vibrant atmosphere, buyers swoop in from all over the UK and even from abroad. It’s said that on average, Bristol residents now need to spend almost nine times their annual salary to buy a house.

Of course, the pandemic has greatly impacted people's ability to splurge or get onto the property ladder, which has caused many to flee the city centre and into quieter suburbs. With the huge spike in the cost of living at an all-time high, many are choosing between buying food or keeping their lights switched on.

According to a new study, rents have rocketed by 18 per cent in the south west since 2020. And for those who have managed to scrape together enough to buy, there is huge competition when it comes to putting in bids and securing a property.
