Any Glasgow beer fans looking for a bit of change of scenery from the usual places they enjoy a cracking pint might find what they are looking for in a hidden gem of a brewery taproom just north of the city.
Easily accessible by train (or car if you have a generous designated driver), the village of Renton, which lies close to Balloch and the stunning surrounds of Loch Lomond, is where you'll find an award-winning brewery with its gorgeous taproom and bottle shop.
The Loch Lomond Brewery Taproom is found just seven minute's walk from Renton Train Station and is open from 2 pm until 10 pm Thursday to Sunday.

The onsite taproom features eight taps of Loch Lomond's own brews including the likes of regulars such as the ever-popular and award-winning Silkie Stout and Southern Summit, as well as other exciting beers such as Crack in the Clouds, a 10% Bramble Sour.
And don't worry if you want to take some beers home with you, the taproom bottle shop also features canned beers and merch to buy, and, when the weather is this good you can also sit outside in their beer garden.
The team shared an easy-to-follow video guide on how to get to the brewery and bar on their Facebook page.
The team have also just launched their new distilling house, Dalrigh Distillery, with a gin named after the distillery already on sale and on offer behind the bar too.
Keen to expand their offering, owners and husband and wife team Fiona and Euan Maceachern and manager Jimmi Scott are also now putting on whisky and gin tasting nights, quizzes, music and food nights, which fans can find out more about on their Facebook page.
Speaking about the taproom, which opened in October 2022, manager Jimmi said: "The taproom has been a hugely popular addition so far and we are hoping to welcome even more beer fans, local residents and visitors to the area to our wee site, where they will find a range of incredible beers all brewed on site."
