The brand new Ring Battery Video Doorbell is now 40% off in Amazon's Black Friday sale

Knock, knock.

Who’s there?

Home security at almost half off!

Amazon’s early Black Friday deals continue to take us by storm. Today, it’s the brand’s Ring Video Doorbell that’s been knocked down by 40 per cent

(Amazon)

Taking just five minutes to install - yes, even for amateur DIYers - the battery-operated doorbell is a 2024 release, so it’s the most up-to-date version you can get your hands on right now.

The device offers head-to-toe viewing, allowing you to screen visitors and see parcels left on the doormat - or just the neighbourhood cat who has come around to say hello.

The HD footage (complete with colour night vision) can be beamed straight to your phone or indoor smart speaker, allowing you to ‘answer’ the door even if you’re busy in the garden, in the middle of cooking or miles from home.

Since you can even sync it up with other compatible smart devices, it’s the perfect doorstep monitoring tool to get up and running if you’re planning to be away over the festive period and wish to avoid the same fate as the McAllister’s neighbours in Home Alone

(Amazon)

Recorded videos can be saved for up to 180 days and rewatched at any time, meaning it’s also useful from a neighbourhood watch point of view. But if the folks next door are particular about their privacy, you can set up privacy zones on your Ring so that it only captures content from approved areas, keeping everyone happy.

All this for a sub-£60 price? Only on Black Friday.

The device comes in white or a chic bronze colour and there are deals to pair it with other Amazon tech products in a money-saving bundle.

Whether you want to screen deliveries or speak to surprise visitors when you’re not at home, Amazon’s Ring video doorbell offers an ideal solution. The small bell houses a video camera that beams content to your phone via an app, so you can screen whoever’s at your door and speak to them through a mic wherever you are.

Amazon offers a variety of models including refurbished, which are often cheaper than factory fresh. Look out for bundles for further smart home solutions.
