Season four of The Boys has proven to be a massive hit for Prime Video, with internal viewing figures from the Amazon-owned streamer indicating its popularity. According to Prime Video, a staggering 55 million people worldwide have tuned in to watch at least part of the season since its premiere on June 13 through July 21, spanning 39 days. This marks a significant 20 percent increase in viewership compared to season three during the same timeframe, which had approximately 46 million global viewers.
Prime Video also revealed that the audience for The Boys has continued to grow with each season since its debut in 2019. Season four of the show has now become the fourth most-watched TV season on Amazon, trailing only the first seasons of Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Fallout, as well as season two of Reacher. Notably, The Rings of Power, which streamed in 2022, has also garnered immense popularity.
In the United States, The Boys set new records with the two highest viewing time totals in its history recorded in the two weeks following the season four premiere, accumulating nearly 2.5 billion minutes of viewing time. While comprehensive figures for the entire season are not yet available due to the lag in Nielsen's streaming ratings, the show's success is undeniable.
Prime Video disclosed that a significant portion of The Boys' audience, approximately 60 percent, hails from outside the United States. Top-performing territories include the U.K., Brazil, India, Germany, Canada, France, Mexico, Spain, and Italy. The series has consistently ranked as the number one show on Prime Video in 170 countries throughout the course of season four, underscoring its global appeal and widespread popularity.
