The Boston Celtics have proved their big offseason moves were worth it with their elite play on both ends driving them to the top of the league standings this season. Starting even before the summer’s big moves, the trade for point guard Derrick White was one of the first big moves setting up the Celtics as we know them today.
And while that version of Boston’s roster was not quite good enough to win it all, the deals that brought on star big man Kristaps Porzingis and defensive menace Jrue Holiday over the summer set the table for the behemoth the Celtics have become in the first half of the NBA’s 2023-24 season to date.
The host of the “Sporting Logically” show recently took some time to do a deep dive into how those trades have transformed the Celtics ahead of the start of this season.
