Australia watched on with concern as The Block 2024 couple Paige Beechey and Jesse Maguire sparred during their brief stint on the show. But it appears that things have improved for the pair as they’ve just announced on Instagram that they recently got hitched in a private wedding ceremony.
The pair took to Instagram on Monday night to share a joint post featuring a shot from their wedding and the caption: “Husband and Wife.”

Before long, the post was inundated with happy (albeit surprised) comments from fans, as well as their The Block co-stars.
“Omg Stop!!!!” Kylie Baker wrote.
“Congrats guys!! This is iconic,” Mimi Belperio added, along with Courtney Freeman who said, “Oh my. Congratulations. So happy for you two and what a beautiful photo. STUNNNNNING”.
“Amazing. Congratulations guys,” season 19 contestant Kristy Beames wrote.
Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, Paige revealed the couple ended up deciding to elope in Paris after Aussie wedding plans, which was initially set to go down on December 12.
“Eloping felt like the most authentic way to celebrate our love and this commitment we were both ready to make to one another. A way to focus on what truly matters,” she told the site.
“Paris holds a special place in our relationship — it’s a city we like to visit often, it’s a city that is intimate, timeless and romantic, and it made for the ideal setting to begin this chapter in such a special way. And it’s not too bad having a reason to head back for every anniversary.”
According to Women’s Day, Jesse and Paige sent a letter to their wedding guests a few months back to let them know their wedding had been cancelled.
“Dearest friends and beloved family, it is with profound contemplation that we are reaching out to you today and we hope this message finds you well,” the message began.
“Life, in its unpredictable course, has presented us with unforeseen circumstances that have led us to the decision to postpone our upcoming wedding on 12 December 2024.
“Whilst we were eagerly looking forward to celebrating our love and commitment with you all; we believe it is essential to acknowledge when a moment is not right, and this year, it is not.
“We extend our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment this news may bring. Your understanding and support mean the world to us.
“A new date for our celebration is unknown at this time, but we will keep you abreast of any rescheduling in the future.
“We are eternally grateful for your continued presence in our lives and we will keep you updated on everything that happens in between.”

The pair — who have been together for seven years — announced their engagement in April 2022.
They recently shared their story of meeting to Domain, revealing it went down when Jesse was celebrating his rugby grand final win and Paige was out with a mate.
“I chased her down the street and I said, ‘Can I please have your number? I really want to take you out’,” Jesse told Domain. “The rest is history.”
