A bizarre note on Chiefs-Broncos 19-8 final score in Week 6

The Kansas City Chiefs have a penchant for winning in new and interesting ways, and their Week 6 victory over the Denver Broncos was no exception to that trend.

A frustrating game for Kansas City’s fans, this matchup ended in a 19-8 final score that belied the Chiefs’ dominance in all four quarters. A tidbit provided by the beloved Scorigami account on X, formerly known as Twitter, may be the most fascinating development of the night.

The only time that two teams have ended an NFL game with a final score of 19-8 was nearly a century ago in a tilt between the New York Yankees and Buffalo Bisons, which happened to occur on the same date as the Chiefs’ Thursday night matchup against the Broncos.

This incredible coincidence is sure to be a valuable piece of sports trivia for years to come, especially given the gravity of the win for Kansas City, which marked the Chiefs’ 16th consecutive victory over the Broncos, the longest active win streak against a single opponent in the NFL.
