Some of the most entertaining storylines on Married At First Sight (MAFS) have emerged from vicious feuds between contestants. Seeing cast members go head to head makes for reality TV gold, and it’s no wonder MAFS keeps drawing in massive audiences night after night.
Some feuds take place on camera — like those epic wine fights — while others are a little more subtle after the fact, with some shady social media activity happening once the show is done and dusted.
Let’s take a look at the biggest MAFS feuds through the years!

Domenica and Olivia, Season 9
Even if you’re not a religious MAFS watcher, you would have heard about the feud between Season 9 brides Domenica Calarco and Olivia Frazer.
Olivia and Dom traded insults back and forth, with Olivia labelling Dom as a “bully”.
“I won’t stand for being called a bully when I just voiced my opinion,” Dom told producers. “What Olivia said to me was the worst possible thing anyone could ever say to me.”
When Olivia raised her voice at Dom and declared she was sick of hearing Dom’s voice, things reached boiling point: the infamous wine glass smash. Yep, Dom smashed her wine glass on the table out of frustration before yelling at Olivia.
“My entire fucking life, I’ve been fucking told that my voice isn’t fucking enough,” Dom yelled, before bursting into tears and storming off.
Things went from bad to worse when Olivia came across a racy photo of Dom on X (formerly known as Twitter), and showed it to the cast on her phone.
The two brides have famously never reconciled, and it doesn’t look like that will ever happen. In 2024, Dom made a shady comment after Olivia chimed in on some friendship drama Dom was having with Ella Ding.
“I haven’t spoken about that person in years, and yet here she is trash-talking me without knowing anything about ANYTHING. Please go away,” Dom wrote.
There’s definitely no love between these two at all!

Cyrell and Jessika, Season 6
It’s hard to think of a more iconic feud than the one between Cyclone Cyrell Paule and Jessika Power from Season 6. The pair were reunited at the reunion Dinner Party, and things escalated.
The pair butted heads over comments they’d said about each other in the media, with Cyrell accusing Jessika of talking about her relationship with Eden Dally and her son.
Cyrell ended up throwing wine in Jessika’s face across the dinner table, causing absolute chaos.
“I was really, really emotional at the time, cried a lot,” Jessika told Nine. “It’s very provoking having somebody scream and yell at me, trying to remove yourself from the situation, and then having a wine glass of wine thrown over you. And she had to be restrained from throwing the entire glass at me.”
After Cyrell received backlash for her actions, the bride defended herself on social media, referring to the moment Martha Kalifatidis poured wine over Cyrell’s head.
“So when a white woman throws wine… it’s considered iconic… and she even gets a little show called ‘Martha’s Red Wine Moments’ but when a woman of colour does it! It’s considered ‘degrading, embarrassing, uneducated and a terrible example of a mother’,” she wrote.
“I wish I had that much support when it happened to me. Just remember this woman, for two years, called my son a publicity stunt. Mocked my appearance, mocked my relationship… imagine my son growing up and seeing that… you will never know the feeling until you are a mother yourself!”

Ines and Liz, Season 6
Elizabeth Sobinoff had every right to be furious with Ines Basic because she stole her husband, Samuel Ball. Ines and Sam started having a secret affair throughout the season and revealed their indiscretion at a Commitment Ceremony.
However, Sam blindsided Ines when he admitted he didn’t see a future with Ines either. Red flag!
While the brides had a slight bond over the fact that Sam did them both dirty, Lizzie cut Ines out of her life completely.
“We are too different to ever have a friendship or a bond. I don’t want [Ines] in my life, I don’t need her in my life, and I don’t think it would be beneficial on any level,” Lizzie told 9Honey.

Cyrell and Martha, Season 6
Cyrell and Martha feuded throughout Season 6, and it was explosive. Their first big argument happened when Martha approached Cyrell’s husband Nic Jovanović about a rumour that Jessika had been flirting with him during a Dinner Party.
After Nic told Cyrell about the rumour, Cyclone Cyrell dashed over to Martha’s room to yell at her.
“I think you shit stir, I think you bitch around people’s back!” she yelled. Producers had to intervene before it got too physical, with Cyrell smashing a bowl on the floor.
Tensions reached an all-time high at the reunion Dinner Party when Martha decided she was going to pour her glass of red wine over Cyrell.
“I’m going to throw my drink on her,” Martha declared before pouring her glass of wine over Cyrell.
Of course, Cyrell retaliated, throwing her glass of wine at Martha.
Martha later told Nine she regretted her decision, saying: “It’s embarrassing. I’m a 30-year-old grown woman.”
“I was just angry to a new level, I reached a new level at that reunion.”

Melinda and Tahnee, Season 10
Melinda Willis and Tahnee Cook seemed to be besties after their season aired, with Tahnee standing by Melinda’s side even when she was beefing with a bunch of the cast.
However, in July 2024, Melinda unfollowed Tahnee on Instagram and shared a cryptic quote that read: “Remember, you don’t need a certain number of friends, just a number of friends you can be certain of.”
After Tahnee claimed she didn’t know why Melinda had unfollowed her, Melinda told PEDESTRIAN.TV that it was “disappointing” Tahnee was clueless about the situation.
“In my eyes the quote I shared in response to someone’s question that [Tahnee] is referring to was not cryptic and instead was a quote for my followers about boundaries and how it’s important to have good friends in your life and to be a good friend in return,” she said.
“Sadly, it’s a little too late for her to now start ‘valuing’ our ‘friendship’ but I appreciate her showing care in articles. I don’t hold any hate or animosity towards Tahnee, I just simply do not wish to continue a friendship with her.”
Ouch!

Lucinda and Timothy, Season 11
Honestly, it’s mind-boggling that anybody has beef with Lucinda Light. She’s truly a ray of light, and is one of the most iconic MAFS participants from the entire franchise.
However, she got dragged into a nasty feud with her ex-husband Timothy Smith, when he mysteriously blocked her on social media.
He told Yahoo! Lifestyle that he had given her “eight chances”, but decided to end their friendship.
“Tim was hearing things that Lucinda was hearing about him behind his back, which kept on happening,” a source spilled. “Could it be more relatable? Friendship in the real world ends over disloyalty, and no one likes to hear their best mate has been gossiping about them.”
Lucinda shared her own statement on social media, asking Tim to “please forgive” her.
“A couple of times, I’ve confided in other cast members about genuine processes I’ve had since the show and behaviours that have upset me,” she wrote.
“I’m sure I’m not alone in that, we all need to process and share… I take responsibility for any hurt I may of caused by sharing my feelings and hurts. There are no hard feelings on my end, and I still hold a lantern of hope for our friendship.”

Eden and Lauren, Season 11
Eden Harper and Lauren Dunn got into a bit of a feud over… *checks notes*… Jayden Eynaud?! After Eden and Jayden called it quits, a video showing a topless Jayden dancing with a drunk Lauren at Universal on Sydney’s Oxford Street went viral.
Eden spoke to Daily Mail about their behaviour, calling it “inappropriate and a bit trashy”.
“I think both of their behaviour on that night was quite disrespectful of me… it felt almost a little intentional from Lauren’s half to hurt my feelings, and maybe Jayden as well,” she said at the time.
“I think that the second that I wasn’t there for her to be all over him, and there’s a clip where she grabs his hand and puts it on her chest and stuff like that… I feel a little bit embarrassed by it, if I’m being completely honest.”
Lauren clapped back, telling PEDESTRIAN.TV that “calling other women trashy is so 2021” and said she was “sorry if Eden’s feelings [were] hurt”.
“[I] would have been more careful if I had of known it would hurt her feelings. Eden and I are not friends. However, I don’t wish her any harm,” she said.

Ella and Domenica, Season 9
Ella and Domenica were besties for years after their season aired, but once there was a lil’ hint of controversy around their Sit With Us podcast, everything turned to dust.
The pair told Daily Mail in September 2024 that they were no longer speaking to one another.
“We definitely unfollowed each other. I don’t even know where to begin,” Dom said.
Ella wished Dom the best, adding: “All good things come to an end”.
Dom recently announced she’s expecting a baby, so only time will tell if this will repair their fractured friendship.

Lauren, Jamie, Carina and Rhi, Season 12
This year, MAFS viewers were blessed with the strangest feud to hit our screens. It started off when Lauren Hall called Jamie Marinos and the other brides “boganic” and “losers” during the Couples Retreat.
After Jamie tried to stand up for herself and hold Lauren accountable, she ended up yelling at Carina Mirable and Rhi Disljenkovic for not having her back. Her relationship with Carina hasn’t been the same since, and she pushed Carina to the point of tears during the next Dinner Party.
Meanwhile, Lauren managed to skip all the drama and get away almost scot-free. Make it make sense?!

There will probably be some other feuds starting to emerge as MAFS 2025 starts to wrap up. When the contestants get full control of their social media accounts, you can bet they’ll start letting some rogue comments slip about each other. It’s going to be juicy!
