Michael Beale has plenty in his Ibrox inbox as the new Rangers boss looks to get the Light Blues motoring again. The 42-year-old was appointed as Giovanni van Bronckhorst's successor as he made an emotional return to Ibrox Stadium where he spent three-and-a-half years as first team coach to Steven Gerrard, helping them end a decade-long wait to win the Scottish Premiership title.
It's only Beale's second senior managerial job after six months in charge of QPR but this is on a different scale and he has plenty to deal with as he gets his feet under the table.
There is the issue of players' contracts such as Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos who both have just six months left on their deals and are free to pen pre-contracts next month.
There is also the transfer window opening next month with sporting director Ross Wilson saying that funds will be available if he wants to strengthen.
And on the park he has the small matter of a nine point gap to leaders and rivals Celtic to try and eat into as well as two knockout domestic cups to chase with Rangers in the semi-final of the Viaplay Cup against Aberdeen and a fourth round Scottish Cup tie against St Johnstone - both games within seven huge days in January.
