Charlie Adam says Swansea are “never going to be happy” with Rangers initial bids for Morgan Whittaker as he took a pop at his former Scotland team-mate Russell Martin.
Martin revealed how the 22-year-old winger, set to be the subject of a third bid from Michael Beale’s men, said he wasn’t in the right frame of mind to be included in the squad for the game against Beale’s former side QPR at the weekend.
Adam, who played for Scotland alongside Swans boss Martin, told Grosvenor Sport: “Swansea are never going to be happy with the bids for Morgan Whittaker because you never go in with your highest transfer offer first. Russell Martin doesn't need to play it out in the media, he should keep it all in-house and just say that you're not happy with it.
“Whittaker is a good player who is on the radar of a lot of clubs. He's had a lot of good loans and done really well at Plymouth. Michael Beale only wants to add players who will affect the first XI and Morgan will definitely add something to the team.”
