The best Xbox Black Friday deals on the Xbox Store

Xbox Black Friday deals on the Xbox Store are live, with discounts on big names across the spectrum. Whether you’re after a Fromsoft classic, a recent AAA blockbuster, or an older hit you never got around to before, you’ll find plenty to entertain your wallet while these deals last. Most of the games available playable on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, though we’ve noted when there may be a conflict.

The Xbox Black Friday deals are up now through Nov. 30, 2023.

Control: Ultimate Edition - $9.99

Alan Wake 2 might be Remedy’s big new thing, but if you missed out on the studio’s previous award-winning, mind-bending game, you can get it and all its DLC for $9.99Control follows Jesse Faden as she delves into the federal Bureau of Control to find answers about what happened to her family – before the secret kills her.

You can play Control Ultimate Edition on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor - $41.99

Jedi Survivor is one of the better Star Wars games in recent years. Respawn went deeper with its story and character development, the worlds are more interesting and rewarding to explore, and even the combat got a big boost.  You can grab it for $41.99 on Xbox Series X|S.

GTA 5 Premium Edition - $14.99

Rockstar is gearing up to reveal GTA 6 in December, and if you’ve somehow managed to avoid GTA 5 in the last decade, now’s a good chance to get it at a steep discount. The premium edition, which includes GTA Online and the Criminal Enterprise starter pack, is going for $14.99, which is a bigger deal than most places are offering for that edition.

Diablo 4 - $41.99

Blizzard is sending you to hell on a discount trip. Diablo 4 launched in summer 2023, and it’s already down to $41.99 – a pretty solid deal, considering you get the campaign, revamped post-campaign activities, and the promise of free seasons every few months with new stories and dungeons to tackle.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition - $19.99

Skyrim Anniversary Edition is the definitive version of the hit Bethesda game. It’s not on Game Pass, but you can pick it up on sale for $19.99. The Anniversary Edition comes with Skyrim, its expansions, the Special Edition upgrades, and some exclusive expansions built from popular Skyrim mods, including a survival mode.

Assassin's Creed Mirage - $39.99

Assassin’s Creed goes back to stealth in this latest game, with sneaking at the core instead of big RPG systems. Mirage is down to $39.99, just a few months after launching. The spinoff prequel-sequel-side-story follows Basim in medieval Baghdad at the height of the Caliphate’s splendor, with secrets galore tucked away throughout the city.

This is playable on Xbox One and Series X|S.

Red Dead Redemption 2 - $19.79

It’s not a sale without Red Dead Redemption 2 getting dropped to $19.79, and if you haven’t played it yet, you definitely should give it a go. This prequel-sequel follows Arthur Morgan and Dutch’s outlaw gang as they navigate the harsh realities of late 19th-century America, a period full of economic and social upheaval. It’s an impressive historical epic with one of the best open worlds in the last decade. Even if you know what happens after playing the first Red Dead, there’s still enough depth of character and narrative to make it worth your while.

Cyberpunk 2077 - $35.99

Cyberpunk 2077 is practically a new game with the 2.0 update, which introduced yet another round of performance improvements, revamped combat and progression options, and better enemy AI. All that is here in the version that’s on sale for $35.99. The 2.0 update only works on Xbox Series X|S, so bear that in mind.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice GOTY Edition - $29.99

FromSoftware put a heavier emphasis on combat in Sekiro, with fast-paced encounters, twitchy battles, and brutal boss fights, but the studio’s signature storytelling still shines through. It’s a unique spinoff that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the likes of Dark Souls and Elden Ring, and you can get it for $29.99.

Lords of the Fallen - $48.99

Speaking of Soulslikes, Lords of the Fallen, a reboot of the eponymous 2014 Soulslike game, just burst forth from the shadows in October 2023, but GameStop’s letting it go for $49.99. It’s an ambitious, brutal, and creative take on the genre, with a unique dual worlds feature and some stunning boss designs that raise it above the usual Dark Souls imitators.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition - $11.99

You can grab Mass Effect: Legendary Edition for $11.99. This edition brings together the whole Mass Effect trilogy and all DLC expansions for each game, with a host of impressive graphics enhancements. The saga of Commander Shepard and the Normandy Crew earns its reputation as one of the most important RPG experiences. The space games may be a bit rough around the edges, but with Mass Effect 5 nowhere on the horizon, at least it’s something.

Street Fighter 6 - $40.19

Street Fighter 6 is getting a big discount, with the price down to $40.19. It’s easily one of the best in the series and the best fighting game of 2023, thanks to its abundance of modes, slick polish, approachable controls, and smart balancing so experts and newbies can dive in and enjoy without friction. Capcom’s rolling out updates and new fighters over the coming months as well, so Street Fighter 6 will still be relevant for a long time.

Life Is Strange: True Colors - $20.99

Life Is Strange: True Colors takes being an empath to the next level. Protagonist Alex can see people’s emotions, understand their thoughts, and feel them deeply – too deeply, sometimes. Despite the countless problems that come with it, Alex manages to make friends and even find a home for herself while uncovering the mystery of her brother’s death.

True Colors is going for $20.99.

Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak - $29.99

This is a pretty big deal. Capcom and Nintendo are bundling together Monster Hunter Rise and the massive Sunbreak expansion for $29.99, which is usually what Rise alone goes on sale for. Rise and its new Wirebug feature bring a new dimension to the classic action game franchise, and Sunbreak adds more monsters, more strategy, and better environments as well.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon Hero Edition - $13.99

The deluxe edition of Ichiban Kasuga’s debut Yakuza adventure is down to $13.99. This version comes with the base game and all its Yokohama crime story glory, a selection of extra classes, and a job management set, and it’s also the only version of LAD currently on sale on the Xbox store. Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth, the second part of Ichiban’s story, is out in January 2024, so now’s a good time to catch up if you’re interested.

Lost Judgment - $20.99

On the subject of Yokohama, Lost Judgment presents a different perspective on the big events that go down in Like A Dragon. Detective Takayuki Yagami gets called to investigate a brutal murder, but events quickly take an even darker turn. He finds himself caught in the midst of a deadly tangle of bullying, corruption, and twisted vengeance, though this is an RGG game, so there’s plenty of room for weirdness as well. Things don’t get so grim that Yagami can’t take a break to catch a serial panty thief.
