The best Walmart+ Week video game deals for Nintendo, Xbox, and PlayStation

Prime Day sales are in full swing, but Amazon isn’t the only retail giant slashing prices on video games. Walmart’s Walmart+ Week video game sales offer discounts on PS5 hits, Switch classics, and fan-favorite Xbox games alike. While most of these deals are geared toward members of the Walmart+ program, quite a few are just flat discounts for everyone to take advantage of.

If you’re after deals on other platforms, check out our Prime Day Nintendo roundup, Xbox sales list, and PlayStation roundup. There’s still time to pick up Steam Summer Sale deals as well.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Double Pack: $79.99

You can get both the record-breaking new Pokemon games, Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, for just a little more than the price of one game, at $79.99. That’s down quite a bite from the usual $119.99.

Metroid Dread: $39.99

The end of Samus Aran’s decades-long 2D saga is down to $39.99, which is pretty good considering Nintendo games rarely go on sale for much. Dread blends an element of horror in with Metroidvania exploration, making it one of the more standout entries in the series.

The Last of Us Part 1: $49.99

The PS5 remaster of The Last of Us dips below $50 this week, an unusual occurrence for the survival horror game. This version includes the Left Behind DLC as well.

The Nioh Collection: $41.18

Both Nioh games with their current-gen upgrades are bundled together for $41.18, over $20 off their usual price. If you’re looking for a unique spin on action games, this is definitely the collection for you.

Minecraft Legends Deluxe Edition: $40.27

The deluxe edition of this charming Minecraft spinoff includes the Deluxe Skin Pack DLC for your hero and their mount, and it’s going for $40.27.

MLB The Show 23: $40.79

The latest MLB The Show game is on sale for Xbox One for $40.79.

The DioField Chronicle: $39.99

This real-time strategy game is an underrated gem in Square Enix’s continued string of oddly named games. The PS5 version is down to $39.99 from its usual $59.99.

Xbox Series S + Extra Xbox Wireless Controller: $289.99

You can get a Series S and an extra carbon black controller for $289.99, which means the controller is half off its usual price. This is an excellent entry point into current-gen gaming, especially if you’re planning to play multiplayer with a friend or family member.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla: $29.83

A new generation of Assassin’s Creed is just over the horizon, but if you’re keen on checking out the last big RPG-style game, Valhalla is down to $29.83 on Xbox Series X and $22.05 on PS5. This is a physical version, so it won’t work with Series S.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: $39.99

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is down to $39.99, which is a pretty good deal itself. It’s even better if you have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription, though, since you’ll get the Booster Pass and its new and returning courses for free.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition: $42.57

The Ultimate Edition of Miles Morales is discounted to $42.57 on Walmart. The Ultimate Edition comes with the Miles Morales spinoff and the remastered PS5 version of Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man, so if you need to catch up ahead of Spider-Man 2‘s release date in October 2023, now’s the time to do it.

Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut (PS4): $27.99

The definitive version of Jin’s crusade to restore his home is on sale for $27.99 for PS4. The PS5 version is $42.99 on Walmart, so you’re better off buying the PS4 version and paying $10 for the PS5 upgrade if you really want it.

Persona 5 Royal (Switch): $35.99

Persona 5 finally launched on Nintendo Switch, and you get it for $25 off its normal price at $35.99. The PS4 version is a bit more affordable, down to $24.99.

Forza Horizon 5: $44.99

This isn’t the best deal on Forza Horizon 5 – Amazon and Steam offer steeper discounts – but if you need to get the racing game from Walmart, you can pick it up for $44.99. This is a physical version, though, so it won’t work with Series S.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe: $38.41

A new kind of 2D Mario is launching in October 2023, but before that, you can check out the best of last gen’s Super Mario games for $38.41.
