The best time to buy a new mattress as Simba, Emma and Nectar launch sales

World Sleep Day is on 18 March and savvy shoppers can save some money by taking advantage of one-off sales.

Never ones to miss a marketing opportunity mattress companies have launched major sales in time for World Sleep Day and the offers could be even cheaper than Black Friday sales. The discounts range from 35-50% on mattresses and could save up to £500 on king size options.

Mattresses are big business with prices of over £1,000 not uncommon. The cost of a new bed frame, bedding and a mattresses can get very expensive and many shoppers will wait for sale events like Black Friday before buying. However, World Sleep Day could be the best time in the year to buy a mattress as nearly all of the major suppliers cut prices to compete for customer's attention.

The World Sleep Day sales are live now and while some run for a week others end on 18 March. The best World Sleep Day deals can be found below.

Simba Sleep deals

Simba Sleep is selling mattresses at 40% off plus another 35% off accessories when you order for World Sleep Day. The sale actually lasts until 18 March so you do have an extra day to take advantage.

The cheapest mattress in the range is the Simba Essential range starting from £413, down from over £600. King sizes have been reduced from £1,000 to £699 with payment options available.

The range-topping king size Luxe is reduced from £2,000 to £1,500 in the sale. It comes with ten layers including a bamboo infused wool layer and lots of other sleep tech with names like Aerocoil.

Emma deals

Emma mattresses are on sale for a longer period than Simba. They are holding a sale until 21 March and says savings can be as much as £633 on the top-of-the-range mattress.

The cheapest mattress in the Emma mattress sale is just £245 for the Original, or £440 for the king size version. The most expensive, the premium, comes in at £1,115.

There are also half price pillows and 45% off bed frames in the Emma sale. There are some other extra perks at Emma. It is offering a 200-night trial period, as well as a 10-year guarantee and free delivery.

Nectar Sleep deals

Nectar has gone one better still with deals until 23 March. The mattress sale event is offering a very specific 43% off mattresses. The brand also offers a 365-night trial and forever warranty, more than either of its major rivals.

Nectar says discounts can be over £500 for the more expensive mattresses in the range. Discounts are mostly focused on the hybrid mattress range starting with the £375 single and £570 king size versions. The latter is down from £1,000 and represents the biggest saving on the hybrid option.

Eve Sleep deals

Eve is matching its rivals with free delivery, a year's free trial and, crucially, 45% off mattresses for World Sleep Day. Mattresses start from £200 for a 'light' option while Original mattresses start from £272.

The most expensive item in the range, the Premium Hybrid, is down from £1,000 to £734 in the Eve sale.
