As Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week storms into its third day, extravagant looks flood the streets of the French capital.
Unlike the edgier ensembles seen during the ready-to-wear collections, the couture set’s street style has an altogether more polished vibe.
The shows are more exclusive, with tighter guestlists restricted to a high-powered crowd of senior editors and high net-worth clients wearing their personal couture purchases, plus a healthy smattering of celebrities.
Schiaparelli clients, who attended Daniel Roseberry’s schedule opening show on Monday, are the most distinctive. Surrealist, golden objects adorn their beautifully sculptured black dresses, or dangle from ears as mesmerising eyes, as demonstrated by German influencer Leonie Hanne.
Elsewhere, the motorcycle jacket craze continues with a vengeance, in one case spotted outside the Christian Dior show paired with white cargo trousers, wrap sunglasses, and a micro Dior bowling handbag. Others were spotted in signiture quilted, co-ordinating Dior skirts and braided military jackets from the house.
