The Best Resorts In Bermuda

The pink sand beaches are only one of the natural wonders of Bermuda, an island off the coast of the Eastern United States that is only a short flight away from the East Coast—but feels a world apart. From the island’s underground caverns full of stalactites to its rich history and culture, Bermuda is the kind of place you’ll never want to leave.

Here are some of the island’s best resorts:

Fairmont Princess & Beach Club

One of the oldest hotels on the island, The Fairmont Princess is the oldest Fairmont property—but this luxury resort feels totally modern and updated. Inside, there are guest rooms and suites, and a spa with a mind-body gym. Outside, an infinity pool looks out into Hamilton Harbor, the hotel’s marina and the ocean beyond. The hotel’s fine dining restaurant, Marcus, has artwork by Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst and Nelson Mandela on the walls. The Crown & Anchor offers afternoon tea service and an extensive rum selection, and 1609 Bar & Restaurant serves fresh seafood by the water.

The Loren

Relaxation is the name of the game at The Loren, a luxury resort that offers villas with private plunge pools in addition to the all-suite guest rooms in the main building. The hotel’s beachfront pool offers endless views of the Atlantic, and its restaurant, The Pink Beach Club, serves locally-sourced ingredients. The on-site Sisley Spa even features a Bermuda Pink Massage.

Newstead Belmont Hills

Overlooking Hamilton Harbor, Newstead Belmont Hills feels like an oasis, from the balconied guest rooms overlooking the ocean to the infinity pool, with a pool bar and hot tub, stretching out to the sky. Newstead is home a championship golf course, with a hospitality cart that makes the rounds to each group of golfers, and pros to give lessons. The Asian-inspired Newstead Spa offers spa dining and couples treatments in addition to facials and massages. Five on-site restaurants and bars, like the tapas-style Zanzibar and the French-inspired Beau Rivage, ensure you’ll never go hungry—or thirsty.

Elbow Beach Bermuda

Elbow Beach‘s 50-acre property ends at its pristine, private pink sand beach, which offers water sports and sailing. The secluded hotel only has 98 rooms, including private beachfront suites. There’s an on-site spa, and three dining options, including a seasonal, waterfront restaurant where you can dine with your toes in the sand. Five tennis courts, plus a full fitness center, will keep you active—but if you choose to lounge poolside with a tropical cocktail in hand, no one’s going to judge you.
