On Sunday evenings viewers have been gripped by the latest series of Happy Valley. The BBC One drama, starring Sarah Lancashire and James Norton, is a gritty tale of policing in West Yorkshire.
Returning for its third series, the show follows Sergeant Catherine Cawood, played by Lancashire, as she discovers the remains of a gangland murder victim in a drained reservoir. This leads her to Tommy Lee Royce, the man who raped her daughter.
The series was filmed across various locations in the real-life Calder Valley - as well as one scene shot in Bolton. Sally Wainwright, the mastermind behind the show, even grew up in the market town of Sowerby Bridge.
