Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
Dogs can stay like rock stars at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe, and now they will be able to look like one, too, with the new on-site dog grooming salon Hair of The Dog Tahoe. The list of available grooming services include haircuts, bathing, nail trimming, nail paw-lish, teeth brushing and flea treatments. This is the latest addition to the property’s growing list of pet-friendly amenities, including an outdoor patio dining for four-legged friends and on-property dog sitting services.
Hotel Becket
This eco-friendly boutique motel features a dog-friendly atmosphere by offering dog-friendly accommodations and amenities, including dog beds and treats. While you’re here, visit nearby Kiva Beach, which welcomes on-leash dogs. The Becket will allow up to two dogs per hotel room; a $100 refundable deposit and a $25 per-night fee apply. While in town try your luck at one of the nearby Stateline casinos or browse the many art galleries. The range of accommodations includes rooms and suites with custom wood furnishings and rustic-chic accents such as reclaimed barn doors. Guests can also opt for cozy Bunk Bed Suites.
Zephyr Cove Resort
All cabins are pet-friendly at Zephyr Cove Resort, which welcomes two pets of any size for an additional fee of $15 per pet, per night. The resort offers a delightful natural setting in South Lake Tahoe within a few minutes’ walk to the beach, marina and lake cruises. Quaint lakeside Tahoe cabins, freshly prepared meals and endless activities entice guests who come here for adventure or relaxation, and the resort serves as a refreshing alternative to the densely developed areas of South Lake Tahoe.
The Holiday House
The Holiday House provides very pet-friendly properties featuring lakefront suites with panoramic views, sundecks and a private beach. Six lakefront suites are available along with a two-bedroom, two-bath unit and a full kitchen. The casinos are a short drive away. A barbecue is available for your use, and if you don’t feel like cooking, you are walking distance to some of the finest restaurants on the North Shore. All suites at The Holiday House have a fully equipped kitchen and TV—perfect for a night in after a day of hiking and swimming. There is a $30 fee per pet or $10 per day if staying more than three days. and pets cannot be left alone in the suite.
Tahoe Vistana Inn
The Inn is dog-friendly, but call ahead as there are only two select dog-friendly Standard units available. A cleaning fee of $45 applies to any single night stay, and for durations exceeding one night the fee is $100 total. If you need to leave your pet unattended, a crate is required per dog should your stay be longer than a day. The Inn allows up to two dogs per unit, and each dog must be less than 24 inches in height. Pamper yourself on the tiered, 4 acres of forested property. Stay in one of seven classic “Tahoe” style buildings, all nestled among the tall pines and in excellent proximity to a spectacular variety of year-round activities.
Hotel Azure
Hotel Azure has long welcomed dogs to its Lake Tahoe property. Guests and their furry friends can experience dedicated parks, beaches and scenic hiking trails. Hotel Azure offers a doggie bed, food bowl and treats. Cost per dog is $25 per night (service dogs are free), and each four-legged guest is welcomed with a dog treat and doggie bag. Hotel Azure is a contemporary mountain retreat set against towering pines, across the street from the pristine shores of Lake Tahoe.
Cedar Glen Lodge
The Lodge features three designated pet-friendly rooms, but call ahead to make sure they have pet-friendly rooms available. There is a daily, per pet $30 cleaning fee. If no pet-friendly rooms are available, the staff will recommend a few near-by boarding facilities. Cedar Glen Lodge is conveniently located to many activities that will satisfy both the summer and winter outdoor enthusiast. There is also a spacious common area for guests to gather surrounded by a lush landscape.
The Beach Retreat & Lodge
The Beach Retreat & Lodge is a dog-friendly hotel with first-floor standard rooms set aside for furry companions so guests can bring along their four-legged friends. Waterfront rooms and suites are appointed in a relaxing, beach style decor, complete with cool shades of color, warm wood accents, air conditioning and gas fireplaces for those cool Tahoe evenings. The nautical-themed Boathouse is a great place to grab a drink, relax and soak in the beauty with the panoramic views of Lake Tahoe.
