The best of Amazon, Sky and Currys early Black Friday deals rated

Black Friday is two weeks away on 25 November but that has not stopped some of the world's biggest retail brands from cutting prices early.

Amazon says Black Friday deals will officially begin a week before the event, with the first price drops taking place in a week but that does not mean there are no deals available now. In fact, Amazon, Sky, Currys and others have all gone early with discounts on hundreds of items.

As we approach Black Friday itself I have picked out the best and worst of the Black Friday deals so far, with some advice on when you should buy some of the must-have products for Black Friday this year.

Amazon early Black Friday deals

Amazon's sales will get better and that means there is actually very little on there that will be at its cheapest price. First of all, do not go near Amazon devices. The Echo Dot, Fire Stick TV and Fire Tablets will be reduced to a cheaper price than they are now. Expect the Echo Dot fourth generation to fall to about £20, while the third generation is likely to drop to as much as £10 in the actual Black Friday sale.

If cannot wait then the best devices deal is this bundle featuring two Echo Dot devices and a smart plug for £35.

I would hold off on the laptop and headphone sales dotted around the site but the fragrances section does have some cheap perfumes. A couple of them are the cheapest I could find online including Vera Wang Princess for just £14. Elsewhere, check out the home section for some nice discounts including a very cheap Oodie fleece alternative at a very low price. That is about £60 cheaper than the real thing.

I would hold off on Shark vacuum cleaners until Black Friday and possibly consider going direct to Shark itself, where discounts are usually huge on the day itself.

Sky early Black Friday deals

In previous years Sky has given away free TVs and games consoles with its TV packages. That is probably not going to happen this year because Sky is completely focused on its Sky Glass and Sky Stream products. If you are wondering if Sky Glass is worth it you can read our review here.

Instead, Sky's early deal is actually on the Sky Glass device. It is a little surprising given it is fairly new to the market but Sky says it is now on sale at the cheapest price ever. You can get a TV with built-in Sky and Netflix for no upfront cost and £36 a month. It is a very good deal for Sky's latest bit of technology and the deal is live now here.

Currys early Black Friday deals

Currys has hundreds of early Black Friday sales live now. The pick of them looks to be the Dyson V10 Extra Cordless Vacuum Cleaner in nickel and fuchsia was £449, now £329. Dyson does not do major discounts on Black Friday so that looks like a solid discount on a good product.

There are a lot of fridge freezers and other white goods on sale but I quite like the look of £20 off a Ninja food blender - from £99.99 to £79.99. Ninja loves a Black Friday discount but I do not expect the blender to fall below this price in the next few weeks.

Keep an eye on the Currys deal pages as they often go live with Amazon device discounts before Amazon itself. It is a good way to get a first look at deals i the run up to Black Friday.
