Best Keurig deals − how to get the biggest savings on iconic coffee makers

A yellow mug beneath a Keurig coffee maker; to the left, a jar of kitchen utensils and a jar of cream against a white wall. .

Keurig coffee makers are already affordable. When you shop the Keurig sales, you can bag a single-serve machine at a bargain price.

Keurig makes some of the best coffee makers for buyers on a budget, but their offerings err on the side of cheap and cheerful rather than serious specialty coffee: as a trained barista and professional product tester, I can tell the difference. If you want to buy one of the best Keurig coffee makers, I suggest you shop from my shortlist.

I've learned how to shop the Keurig sales to get the best value for money and I want to share my wisdom with you. First, I've dropped a few quick links to point you towards the right retailers. Then, I'll dive into the details of when to buy a Keurig coffee maker and what actually constitutes a good deal.

Where to find the best Keurig deals

  • Amazon: regular sales on Keurig coffee makers
  • Best Buy: shop the whole range in a wide array of colors
  • Keurig: get the deepest discounts from the site itself
  • QVC: bundle deals on K-cups and coffee makers
  • Target: thousands of customer reviews on bestselling Keurigs
  • Walmart: make the most of rollbacks

Keurig Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals

This year, Black Friday falls on November 28, but deals will keep dropping until Cyber Monday on December 1. With that said, Keurig likes to drip-feed their deals through the month of November.

Judging by previous years, I'd expect to see Black Friday savings of up to 50% on Keurig coffee makers, accessories, and K-Cup pods.

Every week in November, you can expect to see a different featured category for deals, ranging from 'new arrivals' to 'specialty shops'. As we get closer to Black Friday, you'll see here-then-gone flash deals: it's worth signing up for email alerts to make sure you don't miss a deal.

Keurig seasonal sales

There always seems to be a sale on at Keurig. Though none are quite so deep as Black Friday, you'll see discounts around Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day of up to 30% off coffee makers and accessories. Memorial Day is a great time to buy a coffee maker to take to college, while purchasing on Labor Day helps you get ahead for gifting season.

Keurig Amazon Prime Day deals

Every year, there are two Amazon Prime Day sales events: one in July and one in October. Although the exact dates won't be available until nearer the time, I'd expect to see deals dropping at the Keurig Amazon storefront. This is a great time to make the most of bundle deals during a site-wide sale.

Join the Keurig Perks loyalty program

When you join Keurig Perks, you earn points with every purchase. You also get 100 points when you register your coffee maker, 10 points for every $1 spent, and 1 point for every SMART brew.

You can redeem those points for accessories, such as frothers and filters, or coffee pods (up to 24 at a time). Pods, in particular, represent the most expensive ongoing costs of running a coffee maker, so it makes sense to save where you can.

Sign up for Keurig email alerts

You need to join the Keurig newsletter to access the Keurig Perks rewards program. You'll also get exclusive offers and early access to seasonal sales.

Make the most of bundle deals

If you're buying a brand-new Keurig coffee maker, shop around for bundle deals that come with a selection of K-cups or discounted accessories. In my experience, you get the greatest breadth of deals and depth of discount when you shop at Keurig.

Consider lower-tier models

Before you buy, ask yourself whether you're a coffee snob: whether you would make full use of an extensive brew menu and a milk frother, or you'd be happy pressing a button and brewing a hot cup of strong coffee. If you want the bells and whistles, I recommend the K-Cafe Barista Bar or the K-Supreme SMART. To keep it simple, try the K-Mini.

FAQs

How much should you spend on a coffee maker?

The price of a coffee maker is largely dependent on two factors: the brand you're buying from and the type of coffee you're trying to make. I'd expect to spend as little as $50 on a French press and as much as $2,000 on a fully automatic espresso machine.

Keurig predominantly produces single-serve coffee makers, which are cheap to make and easy to use. I've seen a K-Mini coffee maker listed for as little as $59 on Amazon, while a K-Elite sits closer to the $150 mark.

Are Keurigs the best coffee makers?

I've combed through our back catalog of reviews to find the best inexpensive coffee makers. To make espresso or cold brew coffee, I recommend the AeroPress (which is $49.95 at full price). The Bodum Chambord is an elegant, affordable French press, while the Nespresso Vertuo Next is the best single-serve coffee maker for buyers on a budget.

Which other single-serve coffee makers should I shop?

If you're looking for a more versatile machine, then it's time to consider the best Keurig alternatives.

With all the convenience of a Keurig but a sleeker, more premium design, the Nespresso Vertuo Next is the best single-serve coffee maker on the market. The Cuisinart Grind and Brew features an integrated grinder for fresher-tasting coffee from reusable pods. The Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima comes with an integrated milk frother, ideal for latte lovers.

If you know you need a new coffee maker, but you're looking for something a little more versatile, I suggest you shop the Nespresso deals. You can get a great deal when you shop at Amazon, Best Buy, or Williams Sonoma.
