In case you missed it, Glasgow has just been named the UK's 'Most Christmassy' city – that's right, we even beat Edinburgh. Glasgow managed to outrank every other city in the UK as the most festive city, performing best across all of the Christmas-related criteria in the study.
And though this year we don't have a huge traditional German market like the capital does, we still have plenty of exciting festive fun to shout about.
From fun Christmas markets and Santa Grottos to massive ice rinks and even an ice wall, it's easy to see why we rank so highly when it comes to Christmas-themed fun.

Elfingrove, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, west end

The spectacular Christmas wonderland is returning to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum on November 24, featuring a huge ice rink, the UK’s first ever Snow Wheel, Skate Side Dining, the Apres Skate Bar, Candyland and dedicated toddler rink and even the chance to skate with Santa.
Riverside Museum Market, west end
A family favourite, the Riverside Museum is also joining in on the festive fun with the return of their exciting Christmas market, which features over 40 stalls and run over two days, Saturday, November 26, from 10 am until 4.30 pm and Sunday, November 27, 11 am until 4.30 pm.
Best of all, it's free to enter, and sees everything from candles and melts, silver jewellery, decorations, art prints, clothing and accessories, gifts for babies, and even gifts for your furry friends on sale around the Museum's cobbled streets.
Christmas Fair, St Enoch Square
The Christmas Fair is coming back to St Enoch's Square and this year, there will be fairground rides, Santa’s runaway train, a Helter Skelter and even an ice climbing wall.
And should you need to fuel up after all of that fun, there will be a plethora of food stations including a marshmallow toasting station, and a Bavarian moose bar and swing grill.
Christmas Fair, George Square
Meanwhile, George Square will also be back with an ice rink, with 45-minute slots and space for 150 skaters, and a 33-metre-high observation wheel.
There will also be a free entertainment stage, a Victorian carousel, a children’s Christmas train ride, a street food hub, a festive-themed bar, a Bavarian swing grill, and a snow globe ideal for photo opportunities.
Glasgow Fort Market, east end
The traditional Christmas market at the popular retail park in the east end of the city is returning on Friday, November 18 and will offer a wide array of stalls with enticing hot food and a range of unique, hand-made gifts including gourmet cheese hampers, authentic chocolate kisses and Christmas sweets and spirits.
Running until January 2, the market will also see the return of fun family rides, including the arrival of a brand-new for 2022, Ferris Wheel.
'Meet Santa' Grotto, St Enochs Centre
Found on Level One near Vue Cinema in the centre, the Grotto will be open at weekends between 26th November and 18th December and then daily between Mon 19th and Friday 23rd December, with pre-booking via the St Enoch Centre website essential.
This year, the centre has teamed up with local charity Glasgow’s Spirit of Christmas to raise much-needed funds and gift donations to children in need across Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
To help the charity, the mall confirmed it will be donating the full £10 entry ticket price.
Children visiting the grotto will get to write and post their Christmas letters before meeting Santa and receiving a gift, while the money paid for their ticket will go to help those children in need.
