The best Dublin Airport ski trip deals on offer for midterm break 2022

Ski trips from Dublin Airport are in huge demand now that international travel has returned to some normality.

As the midterm break approached, many Dubs will be looking for last minute deals.

There is estimated to be 489,000 passengers passing through Dublin Airport from February 18- 27.

That figure is still short of pre-pandemic levels but a massive increase on last years figure of 30,000.

If ski holidays aren't for you, check out the the hottest locations you can fly to from Dublin Airport for midterm break.

The main ski holiday locations in Europe are Italy, France, Switzerland and Austria.

Luckily, the likes of Aer Lingus fly to a number of airports in these countries that are just a few hours away from the slopes.

The best time to go on a ski holiday is between December and April, so now is the time to get booking.

Here are the best locations in Europe for a ski holiday along with flight prices.

France

Aer Lingus is currently offering flights to Lyon for €141.99 one way. Lyon Airport has direct access to the motorway with the closest ski resorts around two hours away, including Alpe d’Huez and Les Deux Alpes.

Switzerland

Swiss alpine skiing is one of the more luxurious options in Europe. The ski resorts in the Swiss Alps has reliable snowfall and is surrounded by some of the most famous mountains in Europe.

Aer Lingus is currently offering flights to Geneva for €82.99, one way.

The Verbier ski resort is just 110 minutes from Geneva Airport and offers over 480km of ski runs.

Or you could fly into Zurich for €82 which is close to the Engelberg ski resort with a transfer time of two hours.

Italy

Aer Lingus is currently offering flights to Verona and Milan for €70.99 and €41.99, respectively.

Verona Airport is just two hours from the ski resort, Madonna di Campiglio. Or if you're looking for somewhere closer, the Folgaria resort is just 80 minutes from Verona Airport and is more catered to families.

If you're flying into Milan, the Algana resort is 135 minutes away and is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Austria

Aer Lingus is offering flights to Vienna for €39.83. Riesneralm resort is 180 minutes from Vienna airport and offers 32km of slopes.

If that's too small for you, 225 minutes from Vienna airport is the larger resort of Dachstein West which consists of seven ski resorts offering 245km of ski slopes.

The other option is to fly into Munich for €38.99 one-way.

Munich Airport is 80 minutes from the medieval Austrian town Kitzbuhel which is known for being one of the most beautiful ski towns in Europe.
