The best broadband deals from Sky, BT, EE, Vodafone and more as cost of living rises

The cost of living crisis means people all over the UK are looking at ways to cut down on spending, from energy and fashion to food and tech.

If you're looking at ways to save money amid the uncertainty over energy bill hikes, then you've come to the right place. We've compiled a list below of all the best and cheapest broadband deals you can get as we head towards summer. We will also keep this list updated below throughout the year, bringing you the very latest in broadband offers and prices with some of the main providers in the UK.

The cheapest package we've found so far is the Fast Broadband bundle from Shell Energy, for £17.99 per month (at the time of writing). However, customers should work fast as this deal may not be available for long.

Sky

Sky's cheapest deal, known as Superfast, has an average download speed of 59Mb/s while the average upload speed is 16Mb/s and is perfect for those streaming and browsing in smaller households. The Superfast package is an 18-month contract and sells for £28 per month.

On the other end of the spectrum is Sky's Gigafast package, costing £55 per month for 18 months. Customers can expect average download speeds of 900Mb/s and upload speeds of 90Mb/s.

BT

BT Broadband customers can feel reassured by the company's money-back guarantee (PA)

BT have a range of packages to suit different budgets and browsing needs. The cheapest 24 month contract is £28.99 and delivers reliable everyday browsing, streaming and sharing. The company offers a money-back deal: "Get reliable wi-fi in every room, or £100 money-back guarantee".

The BT's Full Fibre packages boasts speeds of up to 900Mb, all the time. With Full Fibre there’s no copper cable or sharing with your neighbours. Whether you need reliable internet connection for important video calls, gaming, or streaming, Full Fibre should have your back.

EE

EE offers six broadband plans with the cheapest starting from £21 per month. This standard plan is best for keeping small households connected with basic browsing and streaming, and has an average speed of 10 Mb/s.

Plus, customers that choose the standard plan will receive 5GB of mobile data for their EE pay monthly plan every month. The broadband package is free to set up and customers should be aware that there an annual price increase applies.

For those looking for higher speeds, EE has packages that reach up to 900 Mb/s: the top package has lightning fast fibre connection direct to your home and a starting price of £49 per month.

Plus, there's good news for EE pay monthly customers because the broadband provider are offering 10 per cent off your broadband plan.

NOW broadband

The cheapest package from NOW Broadband offers an average download speed 11 Mbps, unlimited downloads, included line rental and no activation fee. The Brilliant Broadband deal £18 a month for 12 months, has £0 activation and a £5 delivery fee.

Those who choose the company's mid-range package, Fab Fibre, can enjoy 12 months of critically acclaimed shows with an Entertainment Membership at a discount price of £5.99 (instead of £9.99).

Shell Energy Broadband

Shell Energy is currently offering broadband for £17.99 (PA)

Energy company, Shell, offer three packages that vary in price and if you work fast, you could benefit from one of the company's most recent deal. The cheapest option from Shell is usually £27.58 a month, but customers can currently bag this package for £17.99.

The 18 month contract includes unlimited downloads, free connection, exclusive rewards, and line rental. The average download speed for Fast Broadband customers is 11Mbps. Plus, customers have the option to upgrade their package from as little as 43p per day. Different upgrade options include: Full Fibre 100 (43p), Full Fibre 300 (72p), and Full Fibre 900 (£1.05).

Shell's other two packages are also currently discounted with Superfast Fibre costing £21.99 per month (down from £32.88) and Superfast Fibre Plus costing £23.99 per month (down from £38.99).

Plusnet

If you need great for everyday internet use on a single device, then Plusnet's Unlimited Broadband deal might work well for you. A 12-month contract is £22.99 a month while those opting for an 18-month contract will see the price dropping to £18.99 per month. This package offers an average download speed of 10Mb and included line rental.

Other notable packages from Plusnet are the Unlimited Fibre, which is £22.99 per month on an 18-month contract an average download speed 36Mb, and the Unlimited Fibre Extra, which has an average download speed of 66Mb and costs £24.99 per month.

Vodafone

Those who opt for Vodafone's most expensive bundle will receive a free Apple TV (Copyright unknown)

Vodafone have three broadband deals, all of which are priced on 24 month contracts, varying from £22 to £38 a month depending on your needs.

Vodafone Broadband is the cheapest of the three, starting at £22 per month. The package boasts average superfast speeds of up to 100Mbps and unlimited usage. Customers will benefit from the award winning app and those who are Vodafone mobile users can save £3 a month on Vodaphone broadband.

Those who choose Vodafone's most expensive package, which starts at £38 a month, will receive an Apple TV 4K with 3 months Apple TV+ subscription. While the midrange package comes with a free Alexa built-in.
