The best Black Friday video game deals at GameStop

GameStop Black Friday deals have begun, with discounts site-wide on some of the hottest games of 2023, older classics, and even consoles. You’ll find some of the best Switch games, must-have PS5 games, and a handful of good Xbox deals, including several that have the competition at Amazon beat. We’ve rounded up some of the best deals on all platforms below. These are available for shipping or in-store pickup, though bear in mind they’re physical games. These won’t work if you have a digital-only system.

Spider-Man 2 PS5 bundle - $499.99

GameStop is running the same Spider-Man 2 PS5 bundle deal as Amazon, so if you’ve got credit saved up or some trade-ins, you might want to consider purchasing it from here. It comes with the PS5 – not the slim version – a DualSense controller, nd a code for the digital version of Spider-Man 2, and it’s going for $499.99.

Xbox Series X Diablo 4 bundle - $449.99

Here’s a good bargain. You can get the 1 TB Xbox Series X with Diablo 4 for $459.99, over $100 less than you’d spend if you bought them separately any other time. Diablo 4 comes with all the balance changes and upgrades Blizzard implemented since the action game first launched in June 2023, and you’ll drop in the middle of the current season – a post-campaign adventure that lets you aim for even better equipment for even bigger challenges.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition - $39.99

If you need to catch up on Insomniac’s Marvel games, grabbing Miles Morales Ultimate Edition on sale for $39.99 is a good way to do it. The Ultimate Edition bundles Miles Morales and the remastered Marvel’s Spider-Man into one PS5 package with a few extras as well.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - $39.99

Tears of the Kingdom is out now, but if you want to start Link’s open-world adventure from the beginning, you can get Breath of the Wild for $39.99. That’s about as low as first-party Nintendo games ever go – even six-year-old ones like this – so you probably won’t find a better deal even from Nintendo.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (PS5) - $29.99

Jedi Survivor on PS5 is even cheaper at GameStop than it is on Amazon. The second part of Jedi Cal Kestis’ battle against the empire is discounted to $29.99 on PS5, and you can get it for just a bit more on Xbox – $34.99.

The Last of Us Part 1 - $39.99

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is just around the corner, and you can leap back into Joel and Ellie’s tragic world again or experience their tale for the first time for $39.99Part 1 doesn’t add anything new to the game like Part 2 Remastered will, but it does bring the visuals and controls up to modern standards.

Final Fantasy 16 - $39.99

Square Enix launched Final Fantasy 16 less than six months ago, but it’s already on sale for $39.99. This bold new direction for the series leaves most of the RPG elements behind in favor of a streamlined story with action-heavy combat. It’s certainly different, but the story from Final Fantasy XIV producer Naoki Yoshida and Creative Business Unit 3 is definitely worth experiencing.

Scarlet Nexus (Xbox Series X) - $5.00

Scarlet Nexus, the futuristic RPG from Bandai Namco’s Tales team, is going for $5.00. The post-apocalyptic adventure with its dual protagonists and inventive action combat might be a few years old at this point, but $5 is the lowest discount it’s seen since launch.

God of War: Ragnarok - $39.99

2022’s hit God of War sequel is going for $39.99 during Black Friday, a few dollars more than you can get it for on Amazon. The second outing for modern Kratos is bigger and mostly better than 2019’s God of War, with a more complex story and deeper emotional payoff as the father-son duo fight to prevent the end of the world – and of their relationship.

Lords of the Fallen (Xbox Series X) - $49.99

Lords of the Fallen, a reboot of the eponymous 2014 Soulslike game, just burst forth from the shadows in October 2023, but GameStop’s letting it go for $49.99. It’s an ambitious, brutal, and creative take on the genre, with a unique dual worlds feature and some stunning boss designs that raise it above the usual Dark Souls imitators.

Super Mario Odyssey - $39.99

Mario‘s debut, planet-trotting adventure on Nintendo Switch is getting its usual holiday discount, and as always, it’s down to $39.99. It might be getting up there in age, from a video game standpoint at least, but Mario Odyssey remains one of the Switch’s most joyful and creative experiences.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope - $19.9

Ubisoft made the second Mario and Rabbids crossover bigger, better, and smarter than the original, with more thoughtful battles, inventive skill combinations, more heroes, and excellent world design. This $19.99 deal doesn’t include the Rayman DLC, but there’s still a lot of game here.

Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe - $29.99

If you missed Kirby‘s colorful saga when it first launched on the Nintendo Wii, now’s your chance to get it at the lowest price yet – $29.99. It’s a thoughtful remake that touches up rough spots and even adds a brand-new epilogue at the end.

Gran Turismo 7 - $39.99

Gran Turismo 7 is discounted almost to half price on GameStop. Sony’s tribute to car culture normally goes for $69.99, but you can snatch it up at $39.99GT 7 lovingly recreates almost every aspect of race car driving, even down to the feel of tires on wet road, and it’s absolutely gorgeous. This may be a racing game meant for car enthusiasts, but it’s approachable enough so anyone who just likes going fast on pretty tracks can still get a lot out of it.

Luigi's Mansion 3 - $39.99

Halloween may be over, but Luigi’s frights are just beginning. You can get Luigi’s Mansion 3 – easily the best and most joyfully creative of the ghost-hunting spinoff series – for $39.99. You play as Mario’s loyal-but-cowardly brother as he tries making it to the top of a haunted hotel in a bid to rescue his brother and friends from a nefarious business owner on the other side (of life).
