A study examining the housing market has revealed the top locations in Greater Manchester to buy a house in 2022.
Property finder Garrington noted that millions of people across the country are still looking to work remotely and are beginning to reassess what they want out of their home, causing a shift in Britain's property market. It also noted that many of the most sought-after location are dedicated to 'going green' with a focus on the environment.
Another prerequisite when looking at a new house is access to fast broadband and internet connections so people can work at home reliably and comfortably. 2021 also saw a huge surge in buyer demand in Garrington's top location resulting in property selling out extremely quickly.

When it comes to Greater Manchester, none of the locations ranked in the top 100 out of a possible 1372. In fact, one location was ranked as low as 612.
Despite this, house prices across Greater Manchester are lower than Garrington's top locations across the whole of the UK, which average at £500k above. In contrast to this, the highest house prices in Greater Manchester's top locations average at just over £350k.
