The best Amazon Prime Day 2023 Xbox game sales

Amazon Prime Day Xbox sales include an impressive variety of Xbox Series X|S games. You’ve got a choice selection of Xbox first-party games, such as Sea of Thieves and Forza, alongside third-party stalwarts including Assassin’s CreedYakuza, and Far Cry, and quite a bit more. There aren’t any deals going on Game Pass or Xbox Series X, but you can grab a refurbished Series S for a decent price if you’re looking to get into gaming’s current gen without spending too much money.

These deals last until Prime Day ends, which is at the end of July 12, 2023.

If you’re after deals on other platforms, check out our Prime Day Nintendo roundup and PlayStation roundup. There’s still time to pick up Steam Summer Sale deals as well.

Xbox Series S (Renewed): $199

You can grab a “renewed” Xbox Series S for $50 off the usual price at $199. Renewed is Amazon speak for refurbished, and it comes with the usual guarantees about function and appearance. This is Xbox’s digital-only entry into the current console generation, and while it doesn’t support 4K and some of the fancier graphics features like the Series X does, it’s more affordable and less chonky than it’s larger sibling.

Halo Infinite (Digital): $29.99

The physical version might be nowhere in sight on Amazon, but you can get the digital edition of Halo Infinite for $29.99. This includes the campaign, and you can download the multiplayer game component for free.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla (Digital): $15.00

Ubisoft’s biggest and most RPG-like Assassin’s Creed is down to $15 – and with Mirage looking like a return to classic stealth actionValhalla may be the last of its kind. The physical version keeps fading in and out of stock, but the digital is a constant (and is less expensive).

Minecraft Legends: $31.99

The Minecraft spinoff that puts you in the tactician’s seat is down to $31.99. It’s a charming introduction to real-time strategy, even if there isn’t much building involved.

Sonic Frontiers: $34.99

The latest 3D Sonic adventure is discounted to $34.99, and now’s the perfect time to pick it up. Sega has several updates planned for the rest of 2023, including new characters, zones, and story chapters, and they’re all free.

Resident Evil 4 remake: $53.99

Okay, $53.99 is hardly a sale, but for a game that launched in April 2023 and broke records for Capcom, it’s as good as we’ll get for probably another six months or more.

Yakuza Like A Dragon: $8.99

Ichiban Kasuga’s big adventure is almost 90 percent off, discounted to $8.99 from its usual $59.99. Like A Dragon was a substantial pivot for the action series toward something more party-oriented with turn-based battles. If you like what you see, keep an eye out for the revealing sequel Infinite Wealth, set to launch in 2024.

Judgment: $16.99

While we’re on the subject of Yakuza, the detective spinoff Judgment is on sale for $16.99. Rather than spotlighting the righteous ex-yakuza types like Kiryi and the slightly less righteous Majima, Judgment takes a deep dive into police corruption and twisted local politics. Its sequel, Lost Judgment, is also on sale for $24.99.

Stranger of Paradise - Final Fantasy Origin: $23.99

Jack Garland and co. team up to battle Chaos and save the world – until things take a sharp, unexpected turn for the bizarre. It’s a fresh, often strange take on the first Final Fantasy game, and you can grab it for $23.99.

Elden Ring: $39.99

FromSoftware’s open-world hit Elden Ring is $39.99, complete with all the many post-launch updates that stabilized the game and added the Coliseum expansion. The Shadow of the Erdtree expansion still doesn’t have a release date, though.

Sea of Thieves (Digital): $19.99

It’s nearly impossible to find Sea of Thieves‘ physical version, but the digital version is on sale for half price, discounted to $19.99. You can team up with other players, plunder the high seas on your own, or just spend your hard-won booty on new pirate clothes and spend your days playing the accordion. Sea of Thieves is quietly one of the best live-service games around, and this is a pretty good price to jump in at.

Dying Light 2: $24.99

Dying Light 2 sets you loose in a zombie-infested city, on a mission to save it from a terrible fate – and discover the secrets of your past. It’s one of the most exciting parkour games in recent years, and you can get the physical version for $24.99.

Back 4 Blood: $9.99

The Left 4 Dead-like game from Left 4 Dead‘s creators that they say isn’t Left 4 Dead (but plays a lot like Left 4 Dead) is nearly 90 percent off, discounted to $9.99. It flew under the radar when it first launched, but if you’re looking for a co-op horror game, this is definitely worth checking out. The sale is only for the physical version, though, so if you’re playing on Series S, you may want to invest that money in a Game Pass subscription to check it out that way.

Far Cry 6 (Digital): $15

Far Cry 6 takes you to the tropical island paradise of Yara, except it’s a tyrannical dictatorship and not a paradise at all. Your goal is liberating it from the grasp of the villainous Anton Castillo, played by Giancarlo Esposito, so the people of Yara lead themselves, and you can get the digital version for $15.

Forza Horizon 5: $29.99

Playground Games’ brilliant racing game set in the arid deserts and gorgeous rainforests of Mexico is on sale for $29.99 physically and digitally, so you can get it for Series X or Series S at the same price.

Deathloop: $22.99

Arkane’s roguelike timeloop adventure Deathloop is down to $22.99 from its usual $59.99. It’s as much a puzzle game as it is a stealth shooter, tasking you with finding the best routes at the right time to break the loop and get your life back. There’s really nothing else like it, which is even more impressive when you consider Arkane wasn’t even keen on making it at first.
